World peace
croweye, it's the verse told us about being peaceful
btw, when you will start learning to appreciate people with different view from you? and stop cursing others?
self righteousness is something that will make peaceful world never happens
And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah.s favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided.

Islam (Arabic: اÙإسÙاÙ
; al-'islÄm) is a monotheistic Abrahamic religion originating with the teachings of Muhammad, a 7th century Arab religious and political figure. The word Islam means "submission", or the total surrender of oneself to God (Arabic: اÙÙÙ, AllÄh). An adherent of Islam is known as a Muslim, meaning "one who submits (to God)".There are between 1.1 billion and 1.8 billion Muslims, making Islam the second-largest religion in the world, after Christianity.
Muslims believe that God revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad, God's final prophet, and regard the Qur'an and the Sunnah (words and deeds of Muhammad) as the fundamental sources of Islam. They do not regard Muhammad as the founder of a new religion, but as the restorer of the original monotheistic faith of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets. Islamic tradition holds that Judaism and Christianity distorted the messages of these prophets over time either in interpretation, in text, or both.
Islam includes many religious practices. Adherents are generally required to observe the Five Pillars of Islam, which are five duties that unite Muslims into a community. In addition to the Five Pillars, Islamic law (sharia) has developed a tradition of rulings that touch on virtually all aspects of life and society. This tradition encompasses everything from practical matters like dietary laws and banking to warfare.

I do not know why people here have given Obaidulla and Jenn thumbs down when they are the only ones to answer correctly.
Tell me where in the Quran or Hadith does it say to spread world peace etc..for those who say world peace, do you think those who live in countries where there is war that those Muslims will go to hell because they failed to spread world peace? No, this is not true.
Your Mission is to worship Allah swt as if you can see him and follow what he has said.. Then doing the best you can to learn your religion by reading and memorizing the Quran and the Hadith. By following Sharia law. Then you can spread the world peace.
The Quran tells us that our first thing and most important objective of being a Muslim is to worship Allah swt and nothing else.
This is not a beauty contest to answer "world Peace"

The mission of Islam in this world is to bring The Guidance of The Creator to humanity.
The Islamic Faith teaches that there is one and only ONE God; and that He created us to worship Him. Important parts of worshipping Him is to submit to Him and to obey Him.
In The Qur'an, The Creator tells ALL of humanity that real success is escaping The Hell-fire and entering Paradise.
Through the hadith/sayings of Prophet Muhammad (saws) we know that there will always be a mixture of Believers and Unbelievers in this world. Therefore, any idea that ALL of humanity will embrace Islam is invalid.

Our Mission would be to serve Allah(swt) as we are told to in the Quran and Sunnah so we can reach our vision of entering the gates of paradise.
The ultimate objective would be to put Allah(swt) before anything, to love him more then anything and to obey what he has ordered of us, all of the other stuff like world peace etc would come from doing what Allah(swt) has ordered..

I agree with you but as you an see, many people want to call you a bad Muslim, lacking in knowledge etc... THAT seems to be more important to many than actually following their religion. I am focusing on me and my personal jihad, learning at my own pace and in my own way. I have found mostly hate and ignorance here, amongst ALL faiths. May Allah guide us all.

As salaamu 'alaikym, my freind.
Insha'Allah, the mission of Islam is to bring to all of the peoples of the world the understanding of peace through our individual and collective submission to the Will of Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, and live according to the individual and societal teachings of the Holy Qur'an and the lived example and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (sallaahu 'alaihi wasallaam) as we have the same in the Sunnah al Hadiths.
We are to practice love, understanding and tolerance of others, even those who are not Muslim (i.e., those who do not submit to the Will of Allah [swt]); to practice fair and honest dealings with one another in both personal and professional or business affairs; to work so as to aleviate the suffering of all persons, especially those sufferings due to bigotry, hatred, war and poverty, to practice equality and, most importantly, to give thanks and praise to Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, for His countless blessings and for sustaining us and guiding us on the straight path that is Islam.
Anything that I may have said that is correct is from Allah (swt). All praise and glory is due to Him and for Him alone. Anything that I may have said or written that is in error is my own and I pray that Allah (swt) will forgive me and guide me to the truth. Alhumdulillah!
Ma'a salaam
