you should go by body fat analysis and the mirror. when the body fat is under control and at a healthy % there are no problem areas when you look in the mirror

Ms. Christa....what a question.....one should never pay attention the the scale whore....that's what we call it at the gym, because people will do whatever the scale suggest...I'm to fat I'll do anything to lose, I'm losing to much, what's wrong with me. It's not what the scale says do it's what you do and you'll notice the inches melt away and you won't need a scale to tell you that. your friends will, your clothes will, your skin will glow, your mind will be sharper, you'll be more alert, sleep better.....etc....Who needs a scale.

Inches lost should be a better determination of your improvement. Why? Because if you are building lean muscle..your weight may remain the same but you are a lot healthier than you were before and you have less fat. For example, if a 140 lb woman with 20% body fat is a lot healthier than the same woman with 27% body fat.

Inches lost definitely - muscle weighs more than fat and takes up less room (Body mass).

Take a 70 kilo (Approx 140lb) person - one works out and the other doesn't, the one that works out would have a better body shape than the one that doesn't!
