I was thinking about this recently. What if he's truly repenting in Hell? And God won't forgive him because he expected him to be perfect because he was an angel? Maybe he's just angry at God because God won't let him have free will like mankind. Maybe that's why he has a grudge against mankind because we are forgiven by God so easily.
Lucifer was a loving, powerful archangel once. Are we really supposed to believe that he has lost all of the good in his being?

Yes, I am questioning if God is who he says he is. That's what a good scholar does: question what he knows.

Maybe Lucifer is still a loving, powerful archangel who is merely playing the roll God has ordained him to, with precision. Maybe he alone was powerful enough to fill the role. Perhaps all the angels are merely emanations, in the ultimate reality. Ambassadors.

Your Question has No Basis In reality Given that Satan has already led Billions of Individuals down a path on which they either dont know they on, or they Blinded by his devices. Either way he definitely is Not Misunderstood by those who know what his Up too.
There is No verse In the Bible of Angels ever been Forgiven, which could mean that the Creator expects a Much larger rsponsibility on their part Given that they are constantly in his presence, unlike Humans, the Bible has many an example of those who have repented and have been given foregiveness. There is a Difference.

In the OT, Satan was the adversary of MAN, not God. In Job, Satan is invited to a meeting of all the angels, indicating that he works for god.

Repenting for what? all Satan did was try to get people to stop following god. What did god do? He sent evil spirits out to destroy and slaughter entire civilizations.
Male, female, young, old, fetuses, destroyeth them all did God.
I don't see how God is the good guy and the Devil is the bad guy in the fictional book called the Bible.

It is possible. How do we really know?
My view is that God could not stand Lucifer's defiance. He couldn't stand how very proud he was and how he had complete mastery over himself that although he indulged in Sin, he never let it consume him. Not wanting the angel to be a role model for the rest of the human race, he was cast to Hell and God used his example to prevent the humans from following his role. God wants his people as meek as sheep to his Word, his Will, so no one will ever question is authority.
This is part of the reason I am Satanist.

Depends on your interpretation of him. Some believe that he's still working for God and just posing as his adversary.
