im still a young teenager, and am pretty active and fit.
yet in the afternoons after school i start eating and i just can't stop. I know this sounds like i have no self-control but while im eating (usually unhealthy foods) i tell myself to stop over and over. This has been going on for about 9 months, and if it means anything, it started around the time my mum went back to full-time work and shes always been around. Also my brother and i fight all the time in the afternoon and i really hate it at home:(

could anyone give me some insight into why im doing this, and how to stop? if not i fear of developing longterm health problems like diabetes for when im older.

It sounds to me like you may be coping from stress at home by eating. You need to find some other way to deal with the stress...maybe you could listen to music, take a walk, write down what's bothering you on a piece of paper, call a friend. You need to find some healthy way to deal with the stress.
Hope this helped :)

You definitely need to find the foods that will curve your appetite as well as fill your belly. I would recommend that you find a supplement that will help with this, something that is natural and healthy for you. I was also going through the same thing, eating all kinds of foods at all hours, including after 12 am. I found this patch. It worked for me, it's all natural and very healthy with absolutely no side effects! Check it out, let me know if you try it and how it worked for you! I'd be curious to see if it worked for you like it did for me! Good luck!

your depressed because you feel alone. I bet you only binge when you're sad. If that's the case then you need to either fix your family issues or get out of the house during your binge times...ride your bike to a friends...walk a dog...go do something positive. You sound very mature for being a young teen. ..so go be the smart person you are. Think before you act/eat.

This come from personal experiance. I'm not sure exactly what nutrional food you can munch on but I do have those moments. It's more on the fact that the things happening around me bugs me and i go through that. What i do is eat a bit, drink lots of fluid..the water variety of fruit juices not sodas..then do my work or bug my dogs.Maybe you can try that.

yeah sounds like stress to me too, although if you are really active you might actually not be eating enough. Try to go for the healthier foods first, you can eat more protein to see if the cravings are physical. Try and find other ways to relax i know its hard...

This eating is a nervous habit. Find something else to do. Don't look to food for fulfillment, especially in food that's not good for you. I think you know what you have to do here.
