Also when you answer the question below there is one line that Stacy cannot shake and it is the following: "The blouse from Kohl’s I saw all the elderly ladies buying this blouse and this sweater from Kohl’s isn’t that nice" Even though her mother loved many things Stacy brought at Kohls

STORY: Tonight while Stacy and her mom were having dinner a conversation came up again about the sweaters. Stacy’s mom said something which made Stacy say “Well look at the sweaters I brought at the 99 cent store.” Stacy’s mom said “The sweaters you brought at the 99 cent store are exquisite”. Stacy replied “Yes they are” Then Stacy’s mom said “Don’t get mad at me for what I am about to say. Why don’t you take back the sweater and blouse that you brought at Kohl’s. I mean the sweaters you brought at the 99 cent store are exquisite and by returning the sweater and blouse that you purchased at Kohl’s you will save $50.” When Stacy took out of her closet the sweater and blouse she brought at Kohl’s her mother said “The blouse from Kohl’s I saw all the elderly ladies buying this blouse and this sweater from Kohl’s isn’t that nice and the sweaters you brought at the 99 cents store are exquisite”. Stacy called me and told me she was happy that her mother loved the sweaters from the 99 cent store but was a little upset about the comment about the two items from Kohl’s. I told Stacy that Stacy is overreacting.MY QUESTION: DO you agree with me and if so why and if not why not?Lexi: I think she was overreacting

Yes, it sounds like Stacy was overreacting to her mother's comment. Clearly she was using a bit of psychology on Stacy, hoping that by referencing the old ladies in relation to the sweaters, that she would persuade Stacy to return them... thus saving her money. Sounds like she was only looking out for Stacy's best interest... and her pocket book.
