I have PCOS and thinning hair as well. This condition is called androgenetic alopecia, and your hair will keep on falling out if you don't start taking some kind of medication to stop your body from producing male hormones. I take Aldactone for this, and it has stopped my hair loss. You should be taking an androgen inhibitor (Aldactone is one) and something to help your body process insulin, like Glucophage. I'm wondering if you're getting the right medical care. PCOS can be serious if it isn't treated properly.
Stop washing your hair so much. You're damaging your hair and causing more breakage and more falling out. Your hair is greasy because you have an oily scalp, and you probably have oily skin too. This is genetic, and shampoo won't help. Sephora carries a powder shampoo by Ojon that you can apply to your scalp to absorb some of the oil, and Bumble and Bumble also carries them.
I wear my hair in an updo hairstyle most of the time, and I keep my bangs off of my face and forehead with clips. Otherwise, I pull on it, which only makes it fall out. Once hair falls out from PCOS, it won't grow back. The only thing you can do is stop it from getting worse. You need to see a dermatologist and an internist. I don't think you're getting the right information about your condition or the right treatment.

I would suggest, for the time being, to use a clarifying shampoo and not use a very moisturizing conditioner (but still use a conditioner.)
Clarifying shampoos such as Matrix Essentials Alternate Action, Paul Mitchell Shampoo 2 (or Shampoo 3 for that matter), Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo, Back To Basics Citrus Sage or Green Tea, Redken Cleansing Cream... basically anything that says "clarifying" or "deep cleansing" on it will do.
Conditioners that are good to follow up with are Paul Mitchell Lite Detangler (leave-in), Paul Mitchell The Detangler (rinse), Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Conditioner (rinse), Back To Basics Pomegranite or Green Tea (rinses), Back To Basics Sunflower Detangler (leave-in), Biolage Daily Leave-in Tonic (leave-in... duh, lol)... anything that isn't over-hydrating, more of a normalizer rather than a moisturizer.
But I must say, it is odd that you should need to wash your hair that often, unless you are actually working up a sweat in a day that you would have to wash it more than once. If the shampoos/conditioners I suggested don't help, I would suggest going to the doctor, because excessive oiliness could be a sign of something more going on.
Hope this helps!

You need to use a clarifying shampoo. Most "volumizing" shampoos do not deposit any type of conditioning agent, therefor it is suppose to give you volume but usually just dries your hair out so you might try that.
Just make sure you don't use anything that is conditioning, deep conditioning moisturizing etc. They will all leave a little something behind that will only worsen your oily problem. If you don't have any chemicals(perms, colors etc) done to your hair this should be fine.
I hope this helps you!
ADDED:
Well sorry about that....yeah shampoo is about the only good adivice I have for you. Is there a chance you could find a replacement hair growth shampoo that wouldn't condition the hair so much?

well umm did u no that the more u wash ur hair the faster it gets greasier the reason for this is that when u wash it u wash out the natural oils and so ur head thinks it has to make more so it does and there for it gets greasy also when u massage it like washing it it simulates the glands which makes oil i think the best thing that u can do is use shampoo for oily hair and wash it 1 evry 2-3 days or see a specialist good luck!

Let me tell you something... I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! I COMPLETELY understand your pain. I hate to break it to you, but if you naturally have greasy hair, it doesn't matter what you do, you cant to anything to change it. You were born with the curse, the greasy hair gene. All I can say it to buy those oxy pads, and frequently use then on your forehead and such to prevent that grease from touching your hair. Also, if you were to not wash your hair for a long time, it would become less greasy. I know it because my brother did it and it worked. But of course i would never do that, i have long hair and its more noticeable, so I'm just going to have to live with it. SORRY!!!

if you overwash your hair, itll just end up more greasy, because your body is making up for oil loss, by producing more oil. so dont wash your hair for a while (i know it sounds gross, but its just as a test). i suggest doing this sometime when your not going to school or something =P. perhaps a weekend? or christmas holidays. if this isnt the case, i suggest trying a new shampoo and conditioner. or shampooing everyday, but conditionering (ignore the spelling?) every second day.

Try a little baby powder. Sprinkle some in when it starts looking a bit greasy and run a brush through it to get rid of the white. Works wonders!

Maybe using a different shampoo will help..and maybe no conditioner if you are currently using it. Brush it often as that moves the dirt downward. Other than that, all I would know of to do is wash it daily, as you said you already do.
