Whenever something ends, like a great tv series which I followed since the beginning or I recall tv shows and memories from my childhood (which my childhood was filled with) I get extremely sad. Some examples were when I watched the ending of Digimon, the end of Final Fantasy X, remembering Mr.Roger's Neighborhood. I have memories of when I was a child and all the great parts about a child's life. School, friends, teachers, tv shows, toys...and all of it adds up and just makes me depressed for long periods of time...what can I do?

we may call your case a state of atypical nostalgia, in which you have emotional upset from external stimulus unconsciously related to your ego. it is time limited and will pass over time.
usually sensitive people tend to have such a state.

Look at the good times in the past because there is more good times ahead. You have to live for the minute and plan for a productive happy future or you'll stay in a rut. Go out and party with friends so you have more memories to Cary along with you for future generations and beyond.

don't be depressed about those kinds of things. if, anything it should be a good thing to be reminded of your childhood. think of good thoughts instead of negative ones and see if that helps.
