Even if you went only by most races won, the score was Johnson 10, Gordon 6.
I am neither a Johnson nor a Gordon fan, so whoever won the championship, won the championship

I think the best man won. I am not a Jimmie Johnson fan but I must admit, he pulled out all the stops and laid it all on the line when it had to be done. Like a true professional he performed extremely well under pressure and deserves every bit of that 7+ million dollar check he was issued. Over 14 million in winnings - before endorsements - just in races. That is one talented man who deserves every bit of fame he gets this year.

On a different note - did anyone see his wife at the awards ceremony? What was she wearing? Did she get that outfit off the rack at K-Mart or what?! I felt bad for him having to sit next to her! U-G-L-Y threads on such a beautiful lady. How does this happen?

I think it is fantastic. Only becaue i worked for lowes for 9 1/2 years. He always runs a clean race and is deserving of the championship.

I think JJ was the best driver when it mattered most, and his team mates in the pits were the best pit crew.
There's always been excellent communication on this team, JJ radios in, tells them what the car is doing, and allows them to decide what to do. This is different from other drivers who try to make the decisions themselves, i.e. wedge adjustments, tire pressure, etc. and it works for the whole team. I like that, it shows the pit crew that the driver trusts them to make the right decisions to make the car right. It's also one less thing to worry about for the driver, and gives him the ability to concentrate on what he does best, drive.

In an era where champions typically have an "in your face" attittude, it is also refreshing to see someone who is both dominant on the field and demure in victory. Johnson is a classy guy in a classy organization, who is respected by his peers and admired by many.

Unfortunatley Jimmie Johnson did not win the championship. He won the chase which determines the champion of 10 races. Jeff Gordon won his sixth title this year.

Although he is not one of my favorite drivers--He had a very good year and chase. They worked Hard and earned the Championship--Congrats to Him!!!!

He certainly deserved it. He was by far the best when it counted.

If Jeff were better he would have been better in the races that counted most.

Not much. It was a rather lackluster Chase in my opinion.

I think it makes me want to barf. Seriously though, I don't like JG but he was the best this year by far and NASCAR frigging screwed him.
