I believe that everyone has thought about it on some level. If they say they haven't, I believe they are a liar. So, is it possible that there are people who have not even thought about it?

To be human is to question. I agree, we've all thought about it just as we have all thought--even a little--about a lot of things from having an affair to robbing a bank to committing murder to you-name-it--we've probably all thought about it even if it were just putting our place in an actor's shoes during a movie.

I am battling severe depression since the death of our baby girl last year, and have been working 4 jobs since my hubby got laid off in June, and issues with bill collectors. Yes, it has been a passing thought. There is no way I could do it though because I could never leave my son without his mother. I am just hoping that my husband gets a job soon so I can get back on my medication.

I don't think EVERYONE has. I think a lot of people do,being as life sometimes can be very hard. The only time I've ever thought about suicide was when I was on anti-depressants, or was in a deep depression.

I have never contemplated suicide. The word alone makes me shudder.I have thought about it as as it relates to other people.I am studying social work so obviously we do case studies on suicide victims. So on that level yeah, it gets my thoughts. But as to ever contemplating suicide...no I have never.

Sometimes I think about putting my .45 in my mouth and pulling the trigger, but I always throw away the thought because I realize I might miss one more chance to get drunk or sleep with a woman.

Maybe, but if you're asking questions like this, you seem to me like you have been. I only say this because I recently did the same, and after going to a shrink, he suggested cymbalta for me, because I suffer from depression.

If you're more than thinking about it, see professional help, please.

I have and stupidly tried it years ago [unsuccessfully as you can gather] what made me wise-up was being told how much it would affect my family and friends.I was being selfish to the people i loved most.
