Ask to talk to your daughter and make her want to see you again...bribery possibly? If you celebrate Christmas use it as an opportunity to bring the family back together, and then see if your daughter truly wants to go back. Hope that helps!

Update: I can't believe what some of these people are saying. Kidnapping you own child? What a traumatizing and miserable experience. I assumed that the situation you were facing was not in need of such drastic measures.

As others said, contact the authorities, your lawyer, and the American Embassy in Egypt. The National Center For Missing And Exploited Children may also be able to help. Get a court order saying your daughter must be returned pending a custody hearing. If she is an American citizen, she will be returned. There will be a lot of red tape, but if you get through it, you'll get your daughter back. Good luck.

About the only way to get children out of those countries is to hire someone to kidnap the child and remove them to a country that has a pact with the US. If you have custody, once the child is in a US-friendly country he has no rights. If you are still married and there is no custody arrangement, there isn't much you can do other than try to get a divorce on grounds of abandonment and then ask for custody. Check with a lawyer. There was a story several years ago in the news, and I believe it was made into a movie that addressed this issue and the mom had to hire someone.

I think the first question to ask is why is your husband keeping your daughter from you???? If he is that creepy filef or divorce and request full custody...or maybe he has a good reason for keeping her from you...who lets go of a 3 month old???

You've waited two years to begin trying? Why bother? Your mothering card is now expired due to your inactivity.
