It's plain to see in these photos on the BBC website:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/hi/picture_gallery/07/middle_east_mid_east_nightlife/html/1.stm
Israel supporters will say that it shows the benefits of focusing on prosperity rather than violence; Israel haters will say it demonstrates the deprivation of the Palestinians.
I'm not taking sides - I just thought you might find the photos interesting, and I can certify that the first five are a fair reflection of life here in my home city of Tel Aviv

HopelessZ00 - you're right, 'disapprovers of Israel' would have been a better choice of words
Freedom F - I made no such claims, I see both sides of the story (and yes there are two sides)

I think the photos just remind us that Israel is just a place where people live their lives no matter how much we discuss it.
I always find seeing pictures of Israel kind of weird, sky scrapers and modern buildings, people dress like here.
It looks so much like where i live but i know it is so different and soooo far away. i think thats part of what makes israel interesting.
Anyway thanks.

Colonialism will always be the escapegoat for the chaos in Africa these countries are still living in the past and can't get their act together with the result .......they now live in a sub third world. The Jews got off their butts and did something about it. If the Palistinians did what the Jews did they today too would be in a similar position. However their leaders were influenced by the Middle Eastern Arab leaders who chose to solve this ongoing problem with the bullet. Billions of dollars down the drain, poverty, chaos, refugees not even wanted by their own Islamic nations. Israel exists period . If the Palistinians stop listening to the Radicals and start helping themselves. Israel has a lot to offer the Palistinians. In a peaceful situation a solution to their inderpendence will be found and who knows looking back in ten years time the two nations could live in peace. Basicly the Palistinians run their own affairs ,yes there are road blocks at this point in time they needed . Industrial parks to help the Palistinians were started only to be blown up......the rest is history.....

I commend the British for seeing both sides of the conflict and treating Palestinians and Israelis as human beings. I couldn't help but have sympathy for both and the effects of the tragic cycle of violence affecting both. At the end of the day, there must be support for a Palestinian homeland and acceptance of Israel as a country with a right to self-defense, a Jewish majority and peace.

Those pictures that I saw were very nice and well taken pictures of a beutiful city in Israel. People who are born as Israelis or born as Palestinians are still human being and that
we should not lose the fact that Jacob stole the birthright from his brother Esau thousands of years ago.

Very nice photos, beautiful city.....but just because someone cares about the Palestinians and wants to see human rights , that does not make someone an Israel hater. Peace!

You really can't see, or don't want to see, the reality. Ersatz israel is dysfunctional; existing on the generosity of America and the theft of resources from the Palestinian people.
Are you seriously suggesting that ersatz israel has acquired prosperity through the pursuit of peaceful enterprise?
Man, you really make me scratch my head.
