I think there are two standards regarding tattoos. If you're my friend and you tell me you getting it, I'm going to be cool with it and encourage it. If I'm your boss at work or I'm potentially your boss at work, I'm going to frown on it.
Employers want to hire people who will project the best image for the company, Unfortunately, tattoos haven't broken through the acceptability barrier in the workplace... just yet. Get a tattoo that you can completely hide with the clothes you wear to work, then you'll be okay.

Really would depend on what the rest of you is like...do you have 28 other tattooed animals on you and like to live on the edge, or are you in general modest and literary, or are you a hippie, or a rebel, etc? One little animal tattoo on the underside of your wrist doesn't tell me that much about you..a lot of people have tattoos these days and they come from all walks of life. Personalities are what bring the tattoos to life.

As long as it isn't anything gawdy or unsightly, I am cool with it. Nothing wrong with liking a classic writer like Edgar Allen Poe. I am still a Pit and the Pendulum honk after all these years.

ahhh edgar allen poe a great poet and crazy man all in one:) i think that would just show your love for literacy and maybe even show more intelligence, yet i would not think of edgar allen poe, but i wouldn't worry about it. It's not a naked biker girl and it's not huge so don't worry about impressions. do what makes you happy.
good luck and happy holidays

I kind of like the idea- but when you think of Poe i think everyone thinks of the raven so, i'm sorry to say but it is not that original- even though the body part is. But i can't really think of what else would really connect to Poe that would be a good tatoo. sorry.

To be really really honest with you, (personally) I think raven's represent death and no I am not trying to scare you, but maybe having a raven tatoo permanetly on your wrist for Life is a bad idea because you never know when maybe something might happen. But that's just me.

Since it sounds like a minor tatoo in a place that is hard to see i would probably not really care, and i would think it especially cool since its a tribute to someone you feel strongly about. But, it might be smart for you to think about the fact that some people don't like tatoos bottom line, and that its to one day have that person interview you for a job....... hope that helps!

If you want honesty. I've always seen a direct correlation between the number of tattoos and piercing someone has an how low their self esteem is. Before you get this, you may want to address how you feel about you. If you don't feel good enough without it, you won't feel good enough with it.

It depends on the qualtiy of the tattoo, so I can see it is a raven and not some black blob.
However, it would be very interesting
