My husband is a devout Christian and has become one after we got married. We used to watch porn but he has decided it is not healthy for our marriage so HE has gotten rid of it all. So, yes... there are guys who follow this. ( I would have been ok to keep it in the house... which is why I know he doesn't watch it.)

I know I am not a guy, but since my husband doesn't come on here, I figured I would answer for him. I hope you don't mind.

I have looked at porn. I am a Bisexual Christian, I have done many sins and will probably do a lot more. I might even enjoy doing more sinning.

Of course, you don't. You obviously do not sin, because you are so dedicated. You are pure and sinless.

Welcome to the beautiful people who are better than other people.

Just to let you know, I haven't had sex in literal years, and haven't looked at porn in quite a while. But I still think about it sometimes. According to Jesus, the thought is as bad as the deed.

So I am guilty. You caught me. I am a carnal evil man. Just as you suspected. You can throw tar at me and feather me now because you are never sinning and I sin. You are so much more righteous than everyone else.

It is important for devoted christian men to look at porn. That way they know what they are complaining about. The don't do it because they actually like the porn, you understand, but because god demands that they [fill in your own excuse here].

I have to agree with the guy above. When you work on people's computers (As I often do), you figure out that even the most "devoted" christians, mormons, jews, whatever look at porn.

Males are sex machines. They were designed to be so. It's no big deal. Porn isn't bad.

nobody lives it completely. No one. Every major saint in the Bible even has had some character weaknesses. The only perfect, sinless one of course was Jesus. Paul admits in Romans Ch. 7 that he had struggle with sin. I've read that about 50 percent of Christian men struggle with porn.

the christian walk is a process of developing your faith and learning to trust in the Lord all the time. it`s a daily fight that we all battle to resist temptations, whether it be resisting the temptation you`re talking about, or the temptation to lie, or gossip, or steal, or any other sin! i`m at a place in my walk where i am not tempted by porn! Thank you Jesus!
but we`re ALL tempted in one way or another! some christians are more mature in their walk than others, therefore they are more able to resist temptations. but we all sin! Read the 7th chapter of romans to see what Paul, the author of most of the new testament says about himself and then try not to judge the rest of us too harshly!

There are those who have fallen into this deadly trap of satan's and need special prayers to get them set free from this.

There are others who will testify of God's saving power to rescue them from pornography, after having fallen deeply into this very addictive sin.

And there are those who have not even given themselves the opportunity to get involved, as Paul said to Timothy, "FLEE from youthful lusts", so they avoid the internet as much as possible, and use it only as needed, but no more, occupying their time with other, more fruitful persuits.

Sadly, this trap of pornography has hit on every level, and even pastors have fallen. After all, they are human too.

We need to see (with Paul) that "I HAVE BEEN crucified with Christ ... " so that we can "reckon yourself dead to sin, but alive to God, so that you do not fullfill the desires of the flesh."

I reckon that if it's true that when one died for all, that all died, then it's also true that if one died for me, then I am dead.

It's a serious problem, but not one without hope for God's help.

On a more personal level, I have to admit that I have a propensity towards this sin, so I have to resist the temptation and make sure I remain busy since I, too, work in IT and am in front of the computer 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Many times I am successful with God's help at resisting, but there are times when the frustrations of life pile up so high, that the instant gratification of "feeling good" overwhelms my better judgement and I fall to this sin. But as quickly as I can, thanks to the Holy Spirit, conviction sets in and I shake myself as though one who is waking out of a sleep, and shut it down.

That's an excellent question, and as for myself.I have fought this battle. The devil almost outdid himself on that one.Sins of the flesh. The eyes are the gateway to the soul.Porn does ruin lives, ruins marriages, and can ruin a whole family.I wasn't a casualty to that sin.Porn is horrible and evil.

Almost all men look at porn. It's part of our makeup, religious or not.

I once heard it described as a biological imperative, whatever that means.

Alas, we are all sinners; and the flesh warreth against the Spirit....... and occasionally wins! May God have mercy to forgive.

At least, we all know the power of depravity of the heart and the power of depravity of the lust of the eyes. Visual stimuli are more effective than hearing, and Satan knows all about it.
