What are some pet peeves? I guess maybe I'm just annoyed and feel like venting, so here goes:

When people don't answer the question at hand- they focus on a completely different aspect instead of responding to what the original question was.
When people lick their fingers to seperate pages, count money, whatever. That's so unsanitary and disgusting.
People who say "HAH?" all loud instead of just saying "what" or "huh" in a normal tone of voice.
When people don't wait until the teller (that'd be me) or cashier or whomever is ready for them, and just come right up like it's their right to. Wait your turn, because we need to put sensitive paperwork for the person before you away before you can see it, just like we'll give you the courtesy of doing before we wait on the next person.
People who give thumbs down on OPINIONS (ie favorite tv show) on yahoo answers.
When peoply argue a point just to be contrary, not because they really believe it, they just want to disagree with you.

People who fart in aisles at the store and then walk away making appear that you had been the farter.

People who act like no one else exists or matters at all, and so don't even take 10-30 seconds to leave things neat for the next person. In a store, if they don't like that shirt, they'll leave it crumpled on the floor. In a public restroom, they'll leave water all over the sink and counter. They'll leave a dirty knife by the butter, or a big puddle of spilled something in the microwave. They just don't think of anyone else but themselves, it seems.

Another pet peeve is finding a roll of toilet paper that has been used but not put on the holder! Come on, people, it's not that hard.

omg your last point is one of my biggest pet peeves. i am around so many people now that do that. it's ridiculous! they will argue over EVERYTHING. you could say the sky is blue and they'd say no it's not!

anyways here are some more of mine:

-people who come in victoria's secret and complain about the prices. if you want cheap bras, go to walmart. what do you expect when you come into a speciatly store?!
-people that give me their opinion when i didn't even ask for it
-guys that hit on you when you are obviously not interested, and then continue to do so and never seem to get the hint.
-when people act irritated at mcdonald's when we ask to wait for hot fries, as if that's a ridiculous thing to ask for.
-when people turn the tv off as soon as i leave the room.

i have a ton more that i can't even think of. i get annoyed all the time haha.

Great. I've read all these answers and realize that my pet peeves include all or parts of everyone's answers, leading me to believe that I might just hate the public at large -- except for you people, who obviously HAVE common sense and a sense of what decent behavior is!

Also, I can't stand it when someone looks at my dinner and tells me what they don't like about it. There's one chick I work with who always turns up her nose at something I have with me. It's irritating, because I have a really good food palate -- I like a LOT of different stuff, different flavors, things from different cultures, etc., and I'm a pretty decent cook to boot! I don't comment on HER food. If you don't like what I'm eating, feel free NOT to make it for yourself! But shut up! Ugh.

I work in a retail store so I don't even know where to begin...

I hate when people talk on the cell phone while I am trying to ring them up and then they will through their card down on the counter at me when there is CLEARLY a card machine in front of them. I am not a dog. Don't throw stuff at me.

I hate when people hand me their coupons and tell me to sort through them, or when they expect me to follow them around the store and shop for them like I am their personal servant. I don't mind helping people and many times go out of my way to do so, but I have to draw the line somewhere.

And why is it so hard for grown *** people to put clothes back on the hanger when they try them on?

One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is anyone who criticizes others for no important reason. Do you know how many times I've been told 'There's a hair sticking up." "You have a weird laugh."

I mean, who says that? It just shows insecurity and although I do get my feelings hurt when someone criticizes me, I tell myself 'Hey, she has a lot more problems to work out with herself'.

Sorry for venting, but get over other people's faults and deal with your own.

One of my pet peeves is when I'm cooking dinner for a party or barbeque and someone says, did you wash your hands.

I say, ya , just before I went to the bathroom!

My biggest pet peeves would have to be body odor, people who chew with their mouths open and smack really loudly, drivers who cut you off and nearly cause you to crash, people who are deliberately mean, people who fart or burp really loudly in front of you and continue on like they did nothing, people who are unnecessarily loud, argumentative people, and self righteous people.

-using slang; saying "she don't" or "he don't" (grammatical errors in general)
-swearing, especially in front of women or children
-people that think they can multi-task their cell phone use while driving, or in a public place, but can't
-the use of "intensive purposes" instead of "intents and purposes"
-not using spell check prior to sending a professional emails
-loud talkers - especially people that like to dish their personal business
-parents that dress their teens and tweeners like skanks
-people that try to change your political or religious views
-complainers that never take the initiative to change their situation

I won't bore you with the rest.
