I have wondered that as well, it is, as if, Blacks are representative of the ENTIRE race, so if a black man does a carjacking, then ALL black people are carjackers.
If would be better to say "What is wrong that THAT person?"

I don't follow that stereotype, and I think Marilyn Manson and Ozzy Osbourne have impacted an entire generation of white kids in an adverse way, just as negatively as hip-hop has black kids. White kids who commit crimes are suffering from the same problems black kids who commit crimes are suffering from, most notably parents who failed them.
Hip-hop is all over the news because it isn't going away and its influence will be felt for many years to come. Maybe you're too young, but in the 80s people were screaming about MTV and heavy metal bands and Madonna, and then alternative rock and grunge in the 90s, which in my opinion was a bunch of questionably talented speedballing dopeheads crying about how depressed they were and encouraging kids to commit suicide. However, an entire generation of young people ate this stuff up, just like they do hip-hop and rock now.
When I was a kid (I'm dating myself here), I was taught that country music was evil because Satan was using it to make people get divorced. So back then it wasn't black people who were being persecuted, it was white southerners in cowboy hats.
Society and culture changes, and you'll see it over and over again.

The reason is my sister, white people are in denial. They are a weaker species and a minority of the worlds population of Blacks, Browns, Reds and Yellow people and who's very survival depends on putting down every body else as they can more comfortably ignore their own deficiencies.
As long as you recognize this...You already KNOW why they don't refer to their entire race when one of them goes off the deep in...it's called RACISM. And by the way, it's far more than the 3rd or 4th incident. ( The school shootings) The attached link www.holology.com shows photo's of about 19 shooters . The one black man is from Nigeria. One asian, but that leaves 98% of them being White.
White people, come out of denial!

I don't generalize and I don't understand why other people still feel the need to. No matter what race someone is or what background they come from, they're seriously disturbed if they think it's ok to take another human being's life, regardless of whther or not there's a "reason" as you call it. Why does race always have to come into play? It's people with attitudes like yours that continue to "justify" and proliferate such hatred and it needs to stop on both ends of the spectrum.

Girl thats how its always gonna be living in America! White people dont ever want to talk about the dirt their people do and make excuses for why it happened like with the Colorado kids who shot up the school they said "oh they were teased blah blah" but let them kids be Black or another minority race, we are sure to hear the worst about the situation.

According to statistics blacks have a "3x higher probability chance of going to jail". Even if this statistic is biased and our laws have biased towards getting blacks into jail (crack having a higher jail sentence than cocaine for example), I'm sure that has something to do with it.
I have met some GREAT African Americans ( and Africans for that matter ). They have an amazing culture and great food. It sad when people create absurd ways to ignore the good in these people. For example, separating a successful black kid from his heritage because he's "white on the inside" and doesn't count. Or "I'm afraid of blacks with the exception of the ones who are really white". Because we have terms like "oreo" or "white man in a black body" just shows their abilities and problems are not due to race but something more complex.

That's only because America is COMPLETELY stuck on stereotypes and refuse to see anything else. Everyone seems have to be put in some stereotype no matter what. Unfortunately, there will always be those people who continue the stereotypes by following them.

Give me an example when it's generalized that all black people are commiting crimes,
Hip-hop gets bad reputation in the media because well simply it's lyrics are extremely negative, talking about money cash hoes. I am a big fan of rap but you gotta admit they don't have the most positive lyrics

I agree. Sometimes I'm embaressed to be white. But I don't agree with the part about black people "at least having a reason to shoot people". NOBODY has anyone good reason to shoot anyone. And you don't know the white person's situation. I'm not defending him, I'm just saying he probably didn't go shooting people for no reason at all.
