I need some examples of products/services that companies failed to market internationally because of cultural or language barriers.
Example: Chevy Nova translated as "no go" in Spanish.

Ayds diet candy...victim of bad timing.
youtube has a 1981 British marketing Goof that ends "Thank Goodness for Ayds". american version wasnt much better.

as far as i remember .. a soft drink's company chinese or Japanese slogan meant some kind of curse !! sorry i dont remember !!
there is also the mobile phone Al Katel .. the arabic translation means al gatil = the killer ..
