How can people so educated believe in something so "made up" when science and nature are right in front of us making so much sense. We are part of the animal kingdom, not children of a "god"

I believe that there is too much variances, and knowledge, for it to all be completely by accident, So I ask, try this on for size. If it is not an accident then God is everywhere, and everything in that ( lets try ocean ), this is of course limiting everything to a smaller area than our whole earth. Everything that swims in that ocean is part of that ocean and indeed without it would die. Religions are so dogmatic and hypocritical. Einstein said we use 10% of our brains at best!!! I think we can get all the answers, if we can find, and make contact with the bigger portions, of our brains. There is where we will find our own reason for being here.
I also have to tell you, that more than I believe in God, I believe in Reincarnation! I have lived 4 lives that I remember. and one of those I was an animal. I'm more inclined to believe, we were brought here by some beings, from somewhere way out there. No I am Not Kidding. I love to learn about what people think about these things. This is funny...No not the question, but I just jump on a guy for calling atheist dumb. Now I got an atheist calling them dumb. Like I told this other person. You don't know if it is real or not. If you say you know for sure, your out of your mind. There are things in life that can't be explain. There are times when you see something so amazing you do wonder, "There has to be a higher power." You are right the bible does at times sound contrived, but it does give people hope and a reason. If beliving in a higher power gives you strength, then believe with all your heart. What is wrong with that, wher is the harm? You don't have to believe, that is your prerogative, but you don't have to throw stones. My question to you is: "If there is no God, then why has every nation in the history of the world has worship a God of some kind?" Every human since the dawn of time is wrong? Think about it.

Believing in God is a way of explaining why we're here on earth and I don't mean how we got here, I mean as humans we have a tendency to question EVERYTHING and for some of us, believing in God, something greater than who we are gives us answers to questions not even science can answer.

Just like the theory or idea of Adam and Eve cannot be proven, scientists still can't prove evolution because even if we all did come from one cell, where did the first cell come from?

As long as humans live on this earth we'll always be asking questions and someone will always find some new explanation. For all we know, everything we've ever been taught may not be true. The wise words of my physics and chemistry teachers, firm believers in science who can still admit that science doesn't always have an answer.

Indoctrination is really the only reason. When a theist goes out for "information" they aren't really looking for info. They are just going out to look and try to see it from an Atheist perspective to say they have. All credible scientific evidence points otherwise. A God makes absolutely no sense. Which God or gods? Gods or Goddesses? Why follow a God? Why do we need a religion? Why can't I just live my life without an oppressive force? I own my mind, not some omni-present omni-potent (which is impossible to have both, might I add) being watching over my shoulder.

I am well educated and believe in God.

In the same token, I could ask why people believe in the many other "gods" that they believe in. I wouldn't call them "so-called educated people" though. We all have different beleifs, but that doesn't make any of us better than the other.
If you are meaning to offend someone with this question, then you most certainly did. If you were asking a question out of sincerity then you might need to rethink how you word things.

How educated are you in God's Word? He invented science and nature. Yes, we are all mammals. The only way to be an adopted child of God is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and your Savior. Not everyone is a child of God.

Since you are not a believer, why don't you pick up the Bible and look at Isaiah 53, which was written around 600 years before the birth of Christ. How could this be?

Evidence for God does exist, not just blind faith.

1.) The universe had to have a beginning. An eternal universe makes no sense and is contradicted by the laws of thermodynamics. If the universe was eternal, chaos should be the status of the universe but instead we observe incredible complexity.

2.) If there was no beginning how can we get to the present if there was no starting point? Law of causation states that for every occurence there is a causal factor. Thus, the first cause would logically be God.

3.) If I told you that my Cadillac randomly formed over trillions of years, would you believe me? Of course not. You would logically assume there was a designer behind such a complex machine. How much more complex is life?

It makes no sense to a Christian the same way with how can anyone not believe in God. This same question has been asked for thousands of years. And it will most definitely be answered the day we die. Each and every one of us.

Here's how I think of it.

If I live my life and believe in God (or whoever I want to believe in), it's not going to really hurt me in anyway.

But what if I don't believe now, and I die and there is a God?

I'm pretty much screwed, huh?

lol

Basically, the truth hurts. Some people like the dream better than the reality. I don't care. If they want to live that way, fine by me. As long as they leave me out of it.

It isn't smart to have self belief in astrology for many motives, however the main obtrusive one is the shown fact that we people bumped off approximately 2 weeks from the calendar interior the 15 century. this could screw up all dates and meant correlations.
