i work at a pet shop and there's a guinea pig who has some kind of skin infection. he has bald dry patches all over his body. well i'be been handling him and now i have bumps and itchy spot on my arms, belly and back. what can i do to treat this myself and what can it be? i would really appreciate any help. i'm very worried.

YOU REALLY NEED TO BE SEEN BY A DR. BUT TRY ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT AND PUT A DAB OF PINE SOL IN YOUR BATH WATER TWICE A DAY TO HELP GET RID OF IT. I KNOW IT HELPS WITH RING WORM, ETC.

come on are you kidding you would put the question here be fore going to a doctor? oh if you got it from the pig where you work , that's on them , file a Workman's comp claim with your employer an the hospital an get a lawyer so if it is something bad you are covered

you might have ring worm.
get an anti-biotic ointment.
