I am looking for laminate flooring for my home and need to know if this brand (Tarket) is good choice or if someone can recommend a medium priced product. I don't need high end and I don't want the cheapest flooring either. I do want a good quality.

Tarkett is a good label. They may even offer more than one quality, and if they don't then there are other lines produced by the same company that offer more and less expensive lines. Be sure you've seen the actual material laid out like it would be on the floor - texture and gloss play a big part in the final look, and there may be sheens or textures that you don't find appealing.

Tarkett makes laminate in a variety of prices and grades. I would not suggest using the "Scenic" line of Tarkett laminates. They are an untextured entry grade with a small warranty. Look for an 8 - 11 mm product with a warranty of at least 20 years. You should be able to find such a floor for under $2 per sq. ft. if not from Tarkett than from Pergo, Armstrong, or Kronotex. Other floors to avoid: Kronotex Easy Lock, Click X, or any laminate that costs $0.99.

Target si way over priced..and thier products are actually sub standard..Home depot will be cheaper..Look where it is made at target...more than likely China..thier main supplier..chances are the finish on the laminate flooring from target will be full of lead coatings anyway..the aqua beads that were killing children were still in targets circular ads 3 weeks after it was exposed..I got tank tops from Target(rather my gf bought them for me) and after the first wash they all unravelled..lol..Target is Chinas main profit

I would go onto consumerreports.org website and see what they recommend. I've used them several times and they give ratings and user reviews on everthing from bubble gum to jetliners!
