If people actually know of the Holocaust--enough to deny that it happened--they are flat out prejudiced bigots, for how can anyone deny fact upon fact upon fact? My next-door neighbor of several decades was in 2 of the most notorious concentration camps, one being Auschwitz. I know the Holocaust happened. Plus, do these people who deny holocausts and genocide, in general, live in a bubble? I mean--hi--Rwanda, Bosnia, the mass killings of the Kurds, and not to mention slavery in the U.S., which was responsible for the race related hate crime deaths of many--are these events imaginary as well? I do not think so. No, Evil exists, and it is mass advertising right now, just as it always has done, so I don't get what these people's denial is all about. Anyway--I'm with you. How can anyone deny the Holocaust?

More and more every day.
This is a good example of why I don't get bothered about being called "closed-minded" by religionists. The Holocaust is an undeniable fact, but some cannot accept it and buy into conspiracy theories written by the likes of David Irving.
Also, partly because certain Zionist groups want the Holocaust all to themselves and don't want you to know more than just Jews were singled out for death.

The deniers are the decents of those who were involved in the Holocaust, of course, being on the side of the Germans. They're only denying it so they dont seem like bad people and everyone doesnt look at them like they were a part of something so horrendous in history when really thats the fact and its true!

Usually people who deny the Holocaust happened are also ones who would like to get rid of Israel. The events of the Holocaust are the main reason the modern state of Israel was established, so people who don't want there to be an Israel choose to ignore the evidence.
Edit: To the person about 4 answers below me who says the deny-ers are descendants of Nazis... that is so not true. My husband is German, his grandfather was a Nazi soldier, and he and all Germans of his generation are very well aware of what happened in the holocaust. Actually, it's illegal in Germany to deny the Holocaust happened. I know a lot of Germans, but I don't know a single one who would deny that the holocaust happened.

The only thing worse than a Holocaust denier is a person that denies the theory of evolution. Young earth creationists make me sick too. How can anyone hold such an idiotic belief in the face of well attested facts.

Some people are just in denial because they dont understand the severity of the situation since they didnt experience it firsthand (ignorance is bliss). a man named Elie Wiesel, a man who wrote about the Holocaust in his novel entitled "Night" once said something along the lines of: "if i were to choose to live with pain and suffering or numbness, i would choose to live with the pain and suffering." basically saying he would not want to live in a state of denial or apathy.
you should try explaining to people the repercussions of this nightmare.

Because there are people pissed off that the Jews got to return home to Israel after 2000 years in the Diaspora. Fools like Ahmadinijad and his ilk will never accept that anything bad happened to the residents of the "little Satan" because to give them a back story would be to make them human. And extremists like them do not view Jews as human beings. It is disgusting.

They are just stupid bums whose race wasn't horribly tortured or gassed like the innocent jews in the 1940s. but what about the gypsies, and the Poles, and every other victims. Who ever remembers them? This is unfair, why must we only mourn the jews?

The only people that really deny it are the middle eastern leaders and the only reason that they are doing it is because they dont like the fact that after the holocaust the allies went in and kicked pakistan out of its own land and gave it to the jews. They are trying to get theie people to believe that it was wrong and that there was no reason to kick out the palestinians. (i personnally believe that doing that to palestine was a horrible mistake)

People can be very ignorant, I do not understand this either. It is such a sad part of all of our history and it must be remembered.
