im 14 and i take prevacid every day but after lunch at school i always have horrible heartburn and a weird bad stomach feeling. It only happens after i eat at school, i barely ever get heartburn at home. Why does this happen? is it cause im sitting in cramped desks all day?

It could be from the preservatives used in the foods that are prepared at your school. Try bringing your lunch from home and use preservative free ingredients. This may make a difference so that you might not need any medications at all.

I don't know about the cramped desk but school lunch used to give me heartburn too. Try apple cider vinegar, gross, but it works!

Stop eating at school for a while. Don't take a chance on wrecking your stomach at such a young age.

try taking lunch for a wile see if it goes away if so never eat lunch at school again ...good luck

Try Prilosec OTC. It works the best for me, and I cannot go for 24 hours without it.

maybe u are eating too much fiber...fiber makes u feel like u have hearthburn
