I hope you're taking care of yourself. Not that that's the only cause, I'm just sayin. ; ) I have had very similar problems with fainting in the past, it's to do with low blood sugar, something that runs in my family. Over time you learn to recognise the symptoms and have a seat and something to drink/eat before you faint. It's fine to go to the beach, ideally you should bring an umbrella or something and some water and take it easy.

If you faint again, you should visit your doctor for a check up and a blood test.

no, don't go to the pool and sunbake. based on what you've said i would guess you passed out because you are dehydrated and overheated (heat exhaustion) and probably a little low on the blood sugar levels from not eating - if you arent diabetic just eating should be enough to bring them back up. yes, you could very easily faint again - take it easy for a couple of days, drink plenty of water, a little juice is okay, as is gatorade mixed with water (50/50 mix is good) - NO SODA!
as far as what actually happens to cause you to faint, with heat exhaustion one of the things that happens is your veins dilate (get a little larger) and so the container then is proportionally larger than the volume (think same amount of liquid, two different diameter, but same height, glasses) which in turn can cause a vagal response (the stand up quick from lying down and get dizzy feeling) where the liquid shifts and your body doesn't compensate as quickly.
my recommendation: stay inside, drink drink drink (water!), rest, and if you 1) pass out again 2) get dizzy, lightheaded, or start throwing up 3) any of the above, call your dr and go get seen immediately, if it means a trip to the ER at the hospital GO. oh and if you stop and/or have not been peeing in the last several hours you need to stop reading and call your dr now. you do not want your kidneys to shut down because of lack of fluid.....

when i was 19 i used to do that alot . But i never really knew why. i think it had something to do with the fact that i was pregnant at the time and my blood sugar was low

Have your parents take you to a doctor (good thing you're well enough to ask this question on Yahoo, or lord knows what might have happened!). ;)
