How long have you known him? For this project....conduct a gift basket that has small kitchy meaningful gifts that remind you of him. For example, one of my friends had the lap band surgury done. When she returned to work i presented her with a gift basket of things that she could eat after like Diet Coke, sugar cubes, soft candy, silly putty, an Anna Nicole DVD, a small build a bear wearing a hospital gown, soft suckers, fudge and Godiva chocolates, with a banner that says "welcome back Margret!" signed by everyone. Well you get the gist....just think, gift certificates from local music stores, nifty guitar picks, vintage records of his favorite bands, autographs concert stubs, a framed pic of you two matted on sheet music, etc. Have fun and party hard!

It's not a jewlry box , it's a treasure chest , small is better, good to have personal touches on it , even if you have to put them on there yourself .. it's probably the only one he will ever get ,,,,, in his life ,so take your time , don't rush this .....next years fine .
