And for those that are against Toyota being in NASCAR just remember where Chevys and Fords are made(Mexico) while Toyotas are made in the US. Besides it doesn't really matter because people drive them, so why can't NASCAR driver race them?

Tony Stewart. He's a great driver, and I think that he will bring a lot of morale to the Toyota family. They needed it in '07, and it would be nice if they could be a force to be reckoned with.

Hopefully none of them! Tony Stewart looked like he was going to be sick in the press conference Gibbs Racing held to announce their treason switch to Toyota's. And for all the "Toyota's are made in the USA blah blah blahs" they might be put together in the USA but the parts to put them together usually comes from outside the US. Toyota's on average had a 49% US parts content in their vehicles while the big 3 have on average 78% US parts content even if the vehicles are put together outside of the US. Honda even beat Toyota at 59% US parts content. Here's something for all the tree huggers that bought Prius's, Toyota's a Japanese company that pays japanese taxes and undoubtedly some of that tax money goes toward Japans annual "Scientific" ;) Whale Hunts. Think about that next time your at a Toyota, Honda, Nissan or Subaru dealership.
Jim M. you might want to check out some of GM's new cars you just might be suprised at the quality they're finally building into them. They must be doing somehting right MT's car of the Year is the Cadillac CTS.

I don't think Toyota will get a win in 2008 and I think you will have three very whiny and angry drivers. Three of the biggest whiners in the sport (actually numbers 2, 3, and 4 behind Jeff Gordon) will be moving to Toyota. If they don't win, we'll never hear the end of it. I have a feeling I'll be using the mute button a lot ;)
Poor JD Gibbs (and Joe, too). He's going to have a headache!

You'd have to go with Smoke. The guy could win in a Yugo.
BTW Petty fan- As an American, I believe in the free enterprise system, not socialism. You buy the best product on the market, regardless of where it's made. Competition makes things better. If Ford and Chevy want my money, they need to make a better product than Toyota. It's that simple.
Yes- I get really pissed when my patriotism gets questioned over what car I drive.

I would have to say that Tony Stewart will be the first driver to win for Toyota. It definitely wont be right out of the box but it will be sometime during the middle or latter part of the season.

Gibbs. Stewart, or Kyle Busch. Simple answer. Simple question. Get on with your lives all of you Toyota haters. They are in Nascar to stay, like it or not. Just as they are selling cars in America. Like it, or not!!!

Tony Stewart is the most logical candidate, but Denny Hamlin has a shot. Michael Waltrip can get around Daytona with the best of them if they can get a great car built for the 500.

Tony is the best driver there, but Kyle Busch will win the first race. He's got by far the most to prove, after being dumped by HMS. He's the hungriest out of the three drivers in my opinion, and has got the COT figured out fairly well.....regardless of the fact that he hates it.
