My son (almost 4) can't keep his hands off him. I've only been back from the hospital for a few days and was wondering what your kids have done- it would make me feel better. Thanks.

My older son was 2 when I brought home my younger son from the hospital. he was AWFUL! Whenever I fed the baby, he would throw toys, whatever he could find at us. I can't tell you how many times I'd check on the baby sleeping in his bassinet and find a huge metal tonka toy on top of him. Whenever anyone came over, my older son would start saying "baby to nana" - i.e. give the baby to anyone but me.

Hope this helps! :)

PS: I should add, they are 6 and 4 now and the best of friends.

My firstborn pulled my secondborn off the couch by her foot the day we came home from the hospital. She cried for just a little bit and I am glad that he didn't hurt her. And with my last born, my oldest went to the crib and got him out all by himself and did so without dropping him at all.

my husband and i dont have kids yet and im the youngest but when i was a baby my brother would cover me up with blankets take toys away and whatnot. my husband is the oldest and when his mom was pregnant with his lil bro he bit her stomach and scratched her stomach (he was about 2 1/2)
and when they brought him home from the hospital he would pile all his toys on top of him

My son would always tell me to take my daughter back to the hospital and to get a boy...now that they are a lil older, he is so over protective with her

When we brought my youngest home my 1.5 hr old got jealous and pooped in her diaper, took it off and put it on the baby's head. The baby was only about a week old and the diaper was really messy. I was not a happy camper and neither were either of the children....

My six year old once paint my three year old, from head to toe. I think that was the only worst thing she've done, after that incident, I kept a close watch on them.

Well I don't have kids (yet, will have a son in April!), but when my younger cousin Sara was born, her older brothers would not leave her alone! One night while everyone was sleeping, one of the boys took her out of the crib and put her in a dresser drawer! Luckily, he felt bad and woke up his parents and told them....

personally i only have one at the moment but a friend of mines daughter was not happy at age 3 when her baby brother came home she wold scratch him and smack him cover him up with blankets. although she had moments where she was a proud little sister eventually your little boy will get used to the fact that there is another baby at home and that he has to share you with him. it just takes time. hang in there. best of luck

My niece (then age 2) would climb into her baby brother's bed and step on him.
