This past year has been really tough. My parents got divorced and I have had to deal with a lot of other issues that have come to a point where I can no longer put off dealing with them any longer. Recently I have been dealing with the emotional from a childhood of my mom hitting me when she got upset, my friends telling me that they didn't want to be friends any longer because 'god' told them to and a very verbal and physically abusive twin sister. Recently, I fell for a guy and he knows all about this stuff (he was the first person I ever told). Last week I told him that I liked him. I am 98% sure that he likes me back, But after I told him that I liked him his gf broke up with him. He has been so upset that he won't talk to me. I have tried calling him and texting him numerous times and he hasn't responded. It has been a week since this all happened. I am getting really frustrated. What should I do?

Nothing you can do, just protesting love doesn't give you love for one. Second, this guy just lost a girlfriend, relax, your not exactly the center of his world right now. That aside, you need to relax yourself, a person whose been thru what you've been thru is out for ANYTHING better, and theirs a lot of evils that are a little better then that. Like loving a stranger, which is going to kick your own butt, here. Or putting your trust and heart into one person, which your doing. Love isn't going to save you, trust me, what you need to spend time finding is the "how" to love, its not natural because people don't teach us the right way, even the best. And you weren't raised by anything close to the best, and its showing. You told a guy who was in a relationship that you had feelings for him, and your upset at yourself now because he hasn't talk to you since the relaitonship with her ended. The fact is, you misread him. And your going to have a tendency to do that, until you do truly find someone deep and geniune....
