That's what the problem to me is.

Destroying us would be a better way to put it. And if you put sin...please explain why you think that. And explain your list of sins to go with that. Please examine how everybody may be labeled a sinner regardless of religion. If we didn't have religion nobody would persecute anybody.

To a little degree this is true, since this belief gives little reason for people to strongly work for a better future for the world. But, this belief, is not the only belief that makes people think this reality doesn't count enough. Other beliefs tell people that the after-life with its quite different reality that they believe in, is what counts. We need people to respect the struggle of this reality, and use it to get the most out of themselves, while working hard to make this world better.

We must keep in mind the end result of our actions. The end of the world will come no matter what we say, do, or believe it will be like. We must remain faithful "To the point of death" as Christ said. No man will know the hour or the day. Here is the meaning of life for all those who seek it: Live your life in honor of The Creator, and respect yourself and everyone you meet. This will ensure that you have a place in heaven. We can't give power to something that we have no control over. Christ will return when God chooses. We can't change that.

God Bless

Wow, what a world you live in! Without religion people wouldn't be persecuted? If that was only true. I see persecution of every kind on a daily basis. People are cruel to each other all the time. some hate others just because they are the "wrong" skin color, or even because of their lower intelligence. That was a very bold and un-thought-out statement.

People believing in it or not believing in it will not have any effect on whether it happens or not. It will happen regardless of what we think. The apocalypse is another name for the book of Revelation. It is the ultimate battle of good verses evil. They are two battles that happen at the same time but are thousand of miles apart. They are called the battles of Armageddon and Hemengog. This is when satan leads an army consisting of every kindred , tongue and nation against Isreal.
