Since all the teams will be using the COT in 2008. Just go back and see which teams ran well withe the COT at Talladega in the fall of 2007. The two best teams throughout the race were Penske and Gibbs. However, since Gibbs has switched to toyota, I think they'll be getting used to the Toyota motors and how it handles for the first part of the season, so I dont see Gibbs winning.

Obviously it's way too early right now, but I see the race coming down to the winner at Talladega in both races in 2007, Jeff Gordon and the entire HMS team against the Penske team of Newman and Busch. I would not be the least suprised to see Jr come right out of the gate and win the first time he drivers for HMS.

Colin, I would love nothing more than to see JPM win Daytona, but the truth of the matter is that Chip Ganassi and Felix Sabates do not have the resources anymore to support the level of talent he has in his stable, and keep competitive cars underneath the drivers. Unfortunately, it means that the quality of the equipment must suffer.

My pick is for Mark Martin to finally pull it off.......AND in a DEI car to boot!!!!!!

If there is any justice in this world, Kyle Busch. HA HA I would like to see him get the championship too just for fun and giggles.

The crystal oil slick is dried but there is a good chance that Tony will be waving from victory lane.
