A youth asked: “Is masturbation an unforgivable sin?” Masturbation is not mentioned at all in the Bible. The practice was common in the Greek-speaking world during Bible times, and several Greek words were used to describe the practice. But not one of these words is used in the Bible.
Since masturbation is not directly condemned in the Bible, does this mean it is harmless? Absolutely not! Though it is not classed with such gross sins as fornication, masturbation is surely an unclean habit.
Even those not especially concerned with God’s viewpoint feel uneasy about the practice. For instance, Dr. Aaron Hass in his survey of the sexual practices of 625 teenagers reported: “The majority of adolescents who masturbated reported feeling guilty, ashamed, dirty, stupid, embarrassed, or abnormal.” Surely, masturbation is an unclean habit. But since “uncleanness,” according to the Bible, is a term that allows for a wide range of degree of seriousness, masturbation is not to be classed with such serious sins as fornication or other types of gross sexual immorality. Ephesians 4:19.
The Scriptures counsel: “Deaden, therefore, your body members that are upon the earth as respects fornication, uncleanness, sexual appetite, hurtful desire, and covetousness.” (Colossians 3:5) Is one who practices masturbation ‘deadening his body members as respects sexual appetite’? On the contrary, he is stimulating the sexual appetite. The Bible urges that one avoid the thinking and conduct that lead to such problems, replacing them with wholesome activity, and that one cultivate self-control. When earnest effort is put forth to do this, such self-abuse can be avoided, with benefits mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Masturbation also instills certain attitudes that are mentally corrupting. When masturbating, a person is immersed in his or her own bodily sensations, totally self-centered. Sex becomes separated from love and is relegated to a reflex that releases tension. But God intended that sexual desires be satisfied in sexual relations, an expression of love between a man and his wife. .

First, let's clear up a misunderstanding.
In the Old Testament, children were a great gift from God, and were highly prized.
There were rules that if a man and woman married, but the man died before they had any children, one of the man's brothers or other close male relatives had to get the unfortunate widow pregnant, and that child was to inherit all of the deceased man's wealth and property to carry on the family name.
There was a case described where a young widow was ignored by her deceased husband's brother. When she asked for her pregnancy, the brother masturbated (spilled his seed) into the dirt rather than get her pregnant. It was this overt disobedience that angered God, and the brother was instantly killed.
Remember, it was the blatant disobedience that got him punished, not anything else.
Now, for Christians, all of the old laws of the Old Testament are fulfilled, and no longer in effect. We have only a few laws to live by now, and these are simpler and easier to follow.
The New Testament says that all things are permissable in the world, but not all things are good. We are advised to do only those things that are good.
The New Testament also advises us that if we determine that an action is sinful for ourselves, yet we still do it, we are guilty of sin. This means that if a different person truly believes that the very same action is not sinful, and he practices it, then the action is not sinful, providing that the action does not violate the simple rules outlined elsewhere.
People can get carried away with this in an effort to justify all sorts of "not good" things, but I won't go into that here.
So, for any individual, if they determine that masturbation is sinful, yet they still practice it, then they have sinned.

apparently it is to the bible thumpers. Something about spilling your seed is sinning.
I say it's entirely natural, and I encourage people to masturbate 110%!
There's nothing wrong about exploring your body and sexuality.
