there is no evil in the world.

God is the almighty and he created this earth over 100 million years ago.

God is the sole power of all and there isnone more pwerful than him.

The Devil for instance was given some little power not much becasue God had him on chains for a reason.

The Devil is of no use now to anybody and he is powerless against the almighty God, so in respect the Holy Ghost and the Evil Power was all of one entity and that my friend is God all in one.
Think about that what I just said. How can the Devil have more power than God when the power is of one God only?

That would mean that the Devil in a sense was God too in power and the answer is yes. Now when Jesus was born he made everyone know it and to be saved by him so that you will posper in the kingdom of heaven.

The Devil can do no more harm right now. If God unleashes his power to him we would be ripped to shreds.

Well I will give u answer according to my studies and my believe, as we talk about God so it is confirmed that we believe in him, so when God said I am going to make a Human then there were only angles, all angels agreed with God but only one angel did not becuase he was jealous that this new creation will be more good then us and so he stabd against God and the God said him ok now you are no longer an angel and then that angel became Evil and start his work to making people to diobey God and this is the reason why is evil in world because that angle is devil and he is against God and he tries his best to make human an evil.

Though many writers in the Bible complained about suffering and evil....the Scriptures make it plain that God did not create the world in the state in which it is now, but evil came as a result of the selfishness of man. The Bible says that God is a God of love and He desired to create a person and eventually a race that would love Him. But genuine love cannot exist unless freely given through free choice and will and thus man was given the choice to accept God’s love or to reject it ... choose 'good' or 'evil.' "War, rape, starvation, and more," is the result of this.

Of course, having a disease, being raped, or murdered, are not choices. But they are the result of others choices. Certainly, God is capable of destroying evil and suffering--but not without destroying human freedom, or a world in which free creatures can function. How do we as Christians respond to the problem of evil? With sorrow. With sadness. With revulsion. With perplexity. With questions that have no answers ... Each of us has had wrong thoughts, evil thoughts. Each of us has done something wrong — something evil. Why does God allow evil within us? None of us deserves to escape punishment, and yet God allows escape, too. If we ask why there is evil, we should also ask why there is mercy. Let us fight against evil and needless suffering, starting with ourselves.

If here was no evil in the world, how could you distinguish God, which is an absolute good. Without an opposite, everything becomes a shade of grade, indistinguishable from other things.

Because our life is a reality board game filled with tests, rewards of blessings and penalties according to our striving and choices.

If you Reject God's Guidance, your rejection works against you and not for you, your Faith and Obedience works for you and with you. Satan is the whisperer of evil who was sent to tempt us into losing our Highest Rewards. If You reject The Help (The Holy Bible & The Holy Quran) that is sent to you then you have made a Terrible Mistake which leads to an Everlasting Penalty in The End. If you wantonly taste rejection, then you have mistakenly tasted The penalty of The Fire.

Asa lamu alaykum:)

That leads us to a very good question. Why are we here? Are we some kind of cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God watching our every move and stuff. I dont know man, but it keeps me up at night.
I also think that if there was a God, he would not be wanting his creations known as humans to be wasting their lives asking and answering questions on yahoo answers all day.

There is a God. God isn't responsible for the choices people make. We have free will, meaning we get to choose. We are responsible for all the good & bad we do. Our lives are our own. Our destiny is a shared destiny we share with the human race as a whole.

I don't want to sound preachy, but this is the way I understand and beleive it.

God gave us free will. It is up to us what we do with it-some people decide to be destructive with the free will we are given. Some decide not to be.

He does not force us to accept Him or His Son, but he gives us the option either way. I believe you accept Him and the Son, we get to Heaven, if not, we go to Hell. It IS our choice.

You may want to check out Genesis to read up on the original "Fall" yourself. We live in an imperfect world with imperfect imperfect people-I wish it was different too sometimes but it isn't the way it is.

I hope you get clear, well thought out answers to your question. Good luck with you paper.

God did not promise no problems for us. He promised eternal life in heaven for His believers. Satan is here and rules on this earth and tempts all he can. If they are not Christian then they are easier to tempt to evil. Satan can even turn some Christians to evil by temptation. Satan betrayed God in Heaven and He threw Satan out to try to gather all he could, while we still try to spread the word of God and keep our faith and pray for the nonbelievers.=====

Evil is just the absense of good. You have to have a "have not" to have a "have." See, you can't experience the joy of having a car unless you have lived without a car. If you've had your car your whole life, you take it for granted. In order to experience good, we have to also experience evil, or we would never know what good was.
