Do you ever get a feeling a grid, or a net or a 'web' of some sort surrounds us? I have woken up since late 2003 from deep sleep, and my eyes attempting to focus on blank walls in the dark...I'd catch glimpses of intricate grid patterns and web designs...much like a really elaborate spider's web before the dew or an insect ruins it.

Look, I know I am a looney toon, and I don't need to be humored because I am aware of that much. But please, if anyone has seen it too, do you know what it is? Also, if it is just a normal optical phenomena, then what is it? I discussed this at length with my opthamologist and she just about fell out the boat laughing at me...but I have above perfect sight. In my heart though, I know it's something deeper and it's more.

In pitch black darkness it looks like a golden web or multi-faceted cat's cradle. It is illuminated even if there are NO background lights for your eyes to absorb light from. I usually see it on the ceiling and the wall facing me while I sleep.

Sorry. I don't do LSD. I was clean as a whistle when it all began.Nowdays, I dabble in a little pot here and there, but nothing more.

I've not seen a "grid," but occasionally I see colored lights in my field of vision. I'm pretty sure what I'm seeing is a normal optical phenomena. You say you "know it's something deeper and it's more." While I suggest you reschedule an ophthalmologist appointment, I would also suggest you explore this perception. When you see it, look for clues as to what it actually may be. Take notice of whether the perception changes in different environments. Practice, and try to see this thing at will.

Part of me wonders what you're on... and another part of me says that I totally get where you're coming from. That's one of the reasons I went Wiccan. Xtianity couldn't explain that... Wicca however... had a rule that I simply could not in any way shape or form follow... and neither can anyone else.... "An it harm none, do as thou wilst" is impossible for anyone to follow, because everything a person does... down to breathing and eating.... regardless if one is vegan to the eighth level or whatever... you still consume resources that another person could NEED. So Wicca and... I believe it's Buddhism... ask for too much from their followers. I can give so many examples of how all religions are right in some ways... and wrong on others... but I'm not an atheist because I see flaws with the reasoning behind atheism... there has to be something out there... e gads... you caught me on a philosophical night... damn... sorry...

But I am a migraine sufferer too... huh...

Could be migraine aura. I used to get terrible migraines that would put me out of commission for at least 48 hours straight. When I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and went on blood pressure meds, I stopped having the really bad migraines with the pain for the most part (have a pill I can take on those rare occasions). I still get auras - my neurologist tells me it's still a migraine, I just don't get the associated pain - just the aura. Looks like a half moon shape that slowly spreads out to my peripheral vision and goes away eventually.

You really should see a neurologist to rule out anything serious.

See it all the time in the morning. I wonder if it is weird or a blood vessel thing with our eyes. I think the ophthalmologist would have know if it was that though... I first time I saw it .I thought something was wrong with the bathroom floor. It seemed to have a pattern on it. I do know what you mean!
Oh, and I don't do drugs.

I wonder if you should see a neurologist. I see those kinds of things when I'm getting a migraine headache.
