Being a non-believer in religion does not make you a bad person.

What I do believe in is people. I believe that we are here and we have to learn to live with one another. We have to strive to do what is best not only for ourselves but for those around us.

Basically my personal philosophy tends to be very "Christian", because the original spirit of Christianity was to love and embrace one another and live in peace.

Yet, I have known some "Christians" who behave in a radically different manner than Christ prescribed who firmly believe that they will go to Heaven and I will go to Hell. I believe that if there is a God, he will judge people based on their actions rather than what they have labeled themselves as.

(I just want to make it clear that I do not believe all Christians are like I said above, it's just a few who unforunately tend to be very vocal and give the rest of you a bad name)

Stupidity

I was puzzled by that myself. Be assured there are non-thinking zealots on both sides. In our open and free society it takes little courage to hold any opinion one wishes to hold. Thank God we no longer kill each other for our beliefs. In your case of course, you are free to thank the stars or whatever you wish. Have a good night and a good holiday season.

Well I don't believe in god and i certainly ain't a devil worshiper. Surely if you don't believe in the good you can't believe in the bad. the two go hand in hand, one does not exist without the other. I think the bible has been distorted from its original purpose and is now used as a money making machine rather than a guide to help people find faith in themselves and each other.

Um, I'm going out on a limb here, but non-believers don't worship anything, so whomever said this has a thing for self-contradiction, yes?

Methinks that they just don't get it!!!!!!
We don't worship anything, let alone death and darkness.
Death is final ,and the darkness is for sleep. Nothing more.

And poor, poor Charles is just a tad bit unhinged, evidently.

I wished that I worshipped death and darkness....that sounds hardcore....

Unfortunately, I think goth kids beat us to the punch...

Maybe he is confusing us with worshippers of Vecna....

Do you really want to fire him up? If seems as if he'd be like a Christian Yoda, only not nearly as insightful, speaking in questions and quoted phrases.

I have no idea who said that.
Do you think this person knew what he/she was talking about ?
My money is on..... no they don't
Is not an Atheist and a worshiper of any thing a contradiction ?

Christians believe that if you don't choose to worship God, you are by default choosing Satan.
