okay, i'm going to turn 14 yrs old this sunday.
i want presents, ice cream cake, and a boyfriend [also someone who i want to go to the dance with!]

he's not popular, i think he's a bit dorkish. he's not in any of my classes & i don't hear anything about him & hardly anyone knows his name. he has a bit childish voice & a pretty long, thin face but i think he's a bit cute. there's another guy i like but he's wayyy to good for me. my face changed a bit to ugly so i don't think the other guy will still like me, but i hope he does. he doesn't even know i exist & he has no clue that i like him. i hope i won't hurl.

anyway, i'm pretty nervous about asking him to go to the dance with me & to be my boyfriend. umm, should i go do what i want to do?

and why don't girls ask guys out?
anyway, help me out here.

Confidence is very sexy, be sure and show some femimine confidence when flirting with these guys. Try and find out their interests and that will give you something in common and an opportunity to approach them. Don't ever count yourself out of any chance, Cupid will stab them with an arrow and you just never know. Smile, show your best curves, and try and seem very approachable.

No one's ugly. It's always the attitude.

For now, indirectly tell him you'd like to go to the dance with him. If things heat up in any way, see if he could be into you.

Let's forget about the other guy, since the dance thing seems to be soon.

Girls don't ask guys out cuz Girls ARE more precious with more pride, not ego, than guys. Not taking ANYthing away from guys. I love guys. But that guys don't have this pride thing in their heads as girls do. It's natural. It's not only something we're brought up to.

If I were in your position, I would go for the dorkish one. I like nerds, dorks, etc. in the first place...... Besides, your thinking shallow when you say "my face changed a bit to ugly so i don't think the other guy will still like me, but i hope he does."..... I mean, have you ever noticed, a really ugly girl with a gorgeous guy? How do you think that happens: total confidence........ Let that shallow guy go.......... Go for dorky :)

i'd try my luk w/ the dorkish one, but as the dance gets closer guys will get desperate and start asking girls if they dont have dates already. so if anything better pops up go get if u wanna.
