You can safely assume that you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do.

I fully agree with it. Members of religions subscribe to the image of god portrayed by that religion. In some cases, a loving forgiving god. In other cases, an angry god who will cast you to hell for the smallest sin. In some cases, a flying spaghetti monster. In some cases, nothing at all.
As for the hate part, I don't think that fits quite well with the wording. True that many religions use thier god as a basis for hating other people, but the wording needs to be changed.

I really like it and agree with it because I see it displayed quite frequently. I don't hate any group of people–I prefer to dislike on an individual basis. In my little world, God loves everyone no matter what.

You are distorting the idea in your own way. You cannot create God because He is the creator of all things, of heaven and earth and of every human being. The right sentence is God created man and woman in his own image and likeness. You may read the book of Genesis Chapter 1: 26-31. God does not hate the same people that he created; he loves every person irrevocably. He is our loving Father who loves you and me without limit.

I agree but if you're one of those who believe Faith in Christ is what gets you to heaven then God would hate someone who was good there entire life and helped people but rejected Jesus. God would love the serial killer who accepted Christ moments before death.

God is love he is not hate,it is impossible for him to hate he created the people with a hope and a plan for there lives, He cannot hate>People have free will to do as they will, that's not God that's the freedom he bestowed upon them.

VERY TRUE...
now re-verse it!
I would safely assume that God created us in "His Image".. and so it turns out that WE hate all the things that He hates.
I have more teachings on Faith and Creation..
