You're either a liar or ignorant. To the best of my knowledge, God is in charge of this entire universe. But Romney's church is not running for president, and his cabinet will not consist of apostles and prophets -- though in retrospect, that wouldn't be such a bad thing. Jesus claimed on over 30 occasions that he was the son of The Man, or the son of God. He consistently denied being God. He couldn't claim to be a more important son of God than the rest of us are unless he also claimed to be Jehovah, so that is what he did. Jesus Christ claimed to be the premiere son of God -- YHWH, the son of El. (This is a feature of pre-Exilic Judaism. Monotheism is an invention of human philosophy.) But because he was a son of God, and Satan (the angel formerly known as Lucifer) was also a son of God, they are brothers, even as you and I are siblings of Christ. Do the math. It isn't rocket science. No, we don't believe in polygamy. Seriously, get professional help for your eschatohierophobia. We believe that Christ commanded it at one point, and that he no longer permits it. Your homework gets a failing grade, I'm afraid. Polygamy was never a core part of our beliefs, unlike the FLDS and some other apostate groups. We do not have multiple gods. There are many divine beings ("I have said, ye are gods -- and all of you are children of the Most High.") However, only one of them is our God, the Father; and only one of them is our Lord, Jesus Christ. Seriously, do you have a problem with us believing the Bible? "Endless sex?" Satan wanted to make everyone gods? I declare, you are quite original. I haven't heard anything so silly before. Satan wanted to take over and replace God. That's why he was cast down. Mister, you need professional help for your eschatohierophobia. You claim the privilege of worshiping almighty God according to the dictates of your conscience, but you deny us the same privilege, holding us up to ridicule instead. What threatens you so much that you have such a glaring double standard?

A) As they said, it's not a Christian nation. It is a nation which specifically forbids establishing a religion

B) And as they said, Mormons are Christians. No farther from the Christian mainstream than Jehovah's Witnesses, Quakers and Christian Scientists.

and C) didn't we have this debate in 1960 with Jack Kennedy?

The U.S. is a post Christian nation.
However, I think because there are still some good churches sending out missionaries, God is having patience with us. But at some point, He will have had enough of our sinfulness and that will be the end of us as a nation; unless we make a turnaround, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. (my opinion)
It's starting to look like Hillary's got it in the bag.

Since this country was built on Christian principles, we are a Christian nation. What does this have to do with Romney or any other person in government?

No matter how many ignorant people state that they aren't MORMONS ARE CHRISTIANS!!!!!!!! How can a church called the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints not be a Christian religion? We believe in Christ!

The USA is a country of religious freedom. It will continue to be so. Who convinced you the US is a "Christian nation?" The US is a country of many religions and even no religion at all. Mitt Romney of course, is a Christian himself. Nice try.

I remember the John Kennedy election. His opposition tried to claim he would be under orders of the Pope. That propaganda didn't work that time either.

II know this doesn't relate to the question but I'm confused, either that or you must have a polygamous marriage. Corrosion says he is married to you and in another post Slave of 12 Gods said she(he) was married to you. So is it a happy threesome or is there a ZIlla impersonator out there?

What do you mean still?

The founding fathers where not christian. They where deist (which is a form of agnostic but without the uncertainty)'

The bible is not in the constitution, nor is it even mentioned anywhere in any document having to do with the government that is considered to be involved with its running or its purpose.

So what do you mean by still?

The only thing I can think of is population wise. The majority is Christian (registered atleast) Will this person becoming president make following your faith impossible?

PArdon me, but I dont understand the question

fish needs to try accually looking at mormons and what they do. They have a few cultlike activities, however they are not enough to classify it as a cult. Also They beleive in Jesus as the Savior. As the Christ. (Christ isnt his last name. Last names where not invented yet. Jesus the Christ means Jesus the savior. Christ is greek for savior)

It really isn't one now. I doubt it will become one again, there are too many people living here now, who are against God, to let that happen again. It would take a supernatural act of God's mercy and grace to restore this country's christian heritage!

Hey!!! New look!! I like!

Since I know you're sense of humor, I'd say you want me to say that we aren't a christian nation to start with, no matter what some people may say.

Oh.. and he is a Christian, but you already knew that.. ;)

Well, the U.S. doesn't have any national religion, it would interfere with the whole "freedom of religion" thing. So the president doesn't have any affect on people's religions.
Just for the record, Mitt Romney is Christian, Mormons are Christians as we believe in Jesus Christ being the Savior of the world.
