Two TRILLION Dollars.

3,500 American dead (so far)

Tens of thousands of Iraqi dead.

All Iraqi infrastructure destroyed. Iraqi economy ravaged.

Estimated cost of rebuilding Iraq: 10 Trillion Dollars over 20 years.

No WMDs.

No Bin Laden.

America's international reputation in ruins.

Nothing accomplished.

no it was a horrible idea.. bush has spent 1.3 trillion dollars on the stupid war.. and we have lost 3,500 Americans .. and that's only to date not saying how many we loose everyday.. those are our family's, friends, friends friends, our loved ones and war is a horrible way to loose the ones we love so dearly... the war was just a way to get back at Iraq.. which so far isn't doing any good for anyone but killing our loved ones.. we have accomplished nothing at all.. and how long have we been in war ??? exactly way to long to be doing this all over again.. they should have never brought the war back after the ending of the last war.. it was beyond stupidity.. Good luck on your report and no it was the worst idea America has had in years.. and not really America but bush..going to war took away our family we cant spend Christmas ,Easter, valentines day special holidays with our whole family because we have loved ones fighting for our freedom.. and whenever they do come back ..we wont even be able to spend it with them because we already lost to many of them

Costs:

George Bush Senior was with Osama bin Ladin family during the bombing of the Towers in New York,

In the Iran-Contra affair George Bush SR was accused of raising money for weapons and giving the weapons to OSAMA bin LADEN to fight with by selling Crack to Americans to raise money to pay for those weapons.

The war was a distraction.

The Gulf war was billed to the American Government but benefited a few Arab countries. Now this former president earns 90 million a year sitting on a board of directors that the Ladin family also was on the board of directors.

this war was about corruption.

this so sad. first find out what you teacher believes if he is pro war, you have to write pro war paper about how America will be bombed like 911. If he is against the war just say no weapons of mass destruction were ever found. Statistics are just used to support what ever people already believe. Just play along and you'll do well in academia.

It used to be wars were fought for spoils, the benefit of this war is people are free, dictator is dead, at the time the war began threats were made at other countries, for now these threats are gone thus avoiding wwiii. Soon same question will be asked about the Iran war , same answer will apply.

The War in Iraq, perhaps more than any other topic in current affairs, is something for which most people rely entirely on the media for their information. So in the end, I don't think our thoughts, opinions or convictions on the war really matter.

cost = loss of lives, and outrage from civilians who dont have stomach for long war, very expensive

benefits= removal of horrible sadaam hussein, a constant and growing threat to usa and entire world, plus safe haven for terrorists

that is a no brainer in my opinion!

Well, let's see. Fight here in the United States and have more murders like 9-11 or fight there where only a couple of American's die instead of thousands and thousands. hmmmm
