I've heard people talking about using tinfoil as a method when dying hair and I've seen it on TV, but how would I do that? I am using pink Manic Panic and this is the first time I am dying my hair. I am blonde and not interested in bleaching or dying my hair beyond the Manic Panic though.

put the tinfoil under the hair you want to dye, and ONLY the hair you want to dye. then put the dye on it, and fold the foil over it. leave it in for (I leave manic panic in for 2 hours, but whenever you want to take it out after 15 mins...). then rinse it out WITHOUT using shampoo until the water runs clear.
simple as that :)

Ok its good that you are a blonde that is dying their hair w/o bleach. Because if you had dark hair that will not work very well.

Well you tear however much tinfoil you need. Cut it into rectangles or squares. Then you take one section of your hair and you color on it then you fold it and leave it there for however long you want.

Manic panic is a good brand and it lasts for weeks. I let mine sit for 2 hours and it stayed for about 2 months:)

this is tricky question to answer but if all you want to do is create pink hilites or stripes w/o getting it on the rest of your hair then great. Just part your hair where you want the color place piece of hair in foil then paint on the dye. When hair is saturated wrap foil over hair. Also if you are doing this solo I would tell you to only do the top and sides. I'm a hairstylists and I fix at home jobs all day long. Hope that helps!

You fold the hair that has been treated into it. That way you don't mess up the job or surrounding hair. The foil stays in its form when folded and is waterproof that is why it is used.
