Do police really care if they've got the right guy or not or are they more interested in getting a promotion and pay rise and making sure they can look forward to retiring on a healthy pension scheme to live off?
How many honest cops are there really out there? Isn't their image and reputation more important to them than who they lock up after all isn't it better to pin it on someone rather than on no one otherwise people might lose confidence in the force and maybe even in the justice system itself?

Admittedly there are good cops and bad cops but I’ve heard, seen, and experienced things in the past that make me believe that some cops go a little bit too far sometimes in order to get their own way and secure a conviction etc on someone they believe is guilty but where there is insufficient evidence to put them away.
Here are just a few examples
1. Cops have planted evidence.
2. Cops hound or pamper witnesses.
3. Cops sometimes use lies and deceit.
4. Cops use intimidation as a tool.
5. Cops bully people and beat them up.
6. Cops sometimes bend the rules.
7. Cops are often control freaks.
8. Cops love to have power and control.
And I’m sure others could keep adding to this list until the Sun goes down.

That is wholly untrue, and I notice that you don't cite any evidence for your claim.
What undermines public respect for the police and the system at large is cops who get caught lying about things in reports or under oath.
It's not worth throwing my career away to get one conviction, and if you slide by today because I can't do it the right way, then there will ALWAYS be a tomorrow.

I get paid the same no matter how many arrests or citations I write. I have also been promoted twice now. Pay raises and promotions are not based on how many arrests you make.
It would be nice if you knew a little something about Police work before posting something like this. You obviously have no clue what this job is like.

I make a pretty good living, and I can not imagine hating anyone enough to put that all on the line. I think over 99% of the officers out there agree.
Before making such a severe accusations, I suggest you post a link to an legtimate article to substantiate your claim.
No, not examples.... actual articles.

If you would provide some info, we could have more to base a decision on...As for now, with all you have provided, one can only assume you hate law enforcement and want to vent about it somewhere other than a shrinks office chair...

They are control freaks. They want to be in charge. They are always right. Everything else is second to that.
