You take your cues from the vet. The biopsy should have been checked for cancer cells. The "knot" can be removed. Some squamous cell cancers can be resolved with a simple surgery.

Since she is doing well and behaving normally there is a good chance there has been no metastasis at this time.

So you need to follow through with your vet's advice.

Listen to your vets advice. No one, no matter what their experience, on this forum can give you useful advice based on the sparse information given in this question. Waiting to see if it gets better may very well be a death sentence for your cat. Trying crazy folk cures that someones grandmother swears by may be a death sentence for your cat. Listen to your vet, ask questions if you don't understand something, and then - when you are properly informed by a trained professional - you should have an easier time deciding what to do.

If they can get it off without problem that could be all you need. On the head would usually mean it's between the skin and the bone, so it would be a LOT easier than if it was embedded into muscle tissue. Did the vet say they felt up to doing a removal?

If you feel very comfortable with your vet then find out after the biopsy if it's cancer or not. They may be able to remove it.

Also, from my pet experience, in this case, I would get another opinion from another vet. I always recommend this when in doubt. It will surely ease your mind.

I feel for you and your cat, I love cats too. Have you tried switching her food? It's possible that the commercial cat food she's been eating isn't working well with her. I've heard there's such a thing as the raw food diet for pets-it's basically about feeding them raw fish and other raw things. Feeding pets the way they were designed to be fed may help their systems heal themselves naturally without intervention from western medicine.

i would ask the vet about. but if she has a cancer you might have to put her down i know it sounds hard because i put down my cat last week for the same thing.

cancer is very common in cats... the only thing is it's different then our cancer, its highly contagous. ask your very to check her to find out and be warned that your others may get it too.

I would say...don't do anything different until she starts to feel sick and is not herself anymore.
