I may seem pathetic that I have to ask such a mundane and easy question, but I am a novice at relationships and dating etc. There's a girl at school in the homeroom across from mine, and the only time I ever get to see her is between homeroom and 1st period (I have her homeroom teacher for 1st period so she passes me and smiles when she leaves every day). I have noticed that every day she stops at her locker first before continuing to her 1st pd. class on the other side of the school. She's really beautiful and I would like to ask her out so I am getting to know her now before I ask her and I have only had one "real" conversation with her while walking from HR to 1st pd. I was able to do this because I went to get something out of my locker and happened to finish at the same time as her, so I walked with her. The question is, is it appropriate to wait outside her HR and start walking with her and wait at her locker when she stops and all, ***SEE MORE DETAILS SECTION***

or just keep trying to time it so that I am finished getting my stuff when she is done getting hers so that it less conspicuous that I am trying to go out of my way to follow her and talk to her?

I think if you start hanging around outside her classes waiting for her, it seems too eager and a little needy. Just thinking that girls like some confidence and *********.
Try to run into her again for a chat, this time end it with ....I really enjoyed talking to you, let's meet for lunch tomorrow by the....(insert whatever location you dream up). If she doesn't seem interested...add that you will bring bologna sandwiches, or if she is a vegetarian, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches...if it is still no go....Just say, ok maybe some other time...then smile like crazy in a very confident way...and leave....If that kind of arrangement won't work into your schedules....try an after school or evening meeting somewhere that you hang out.
Nothing ventured nothing gained. You can beat around the bush for weeks and months still wondering how to get to know her...Be confident, just go for it.
