Depends on the cause of the blepharitis. If excess oil from the oil glands in the lid is a problem, then adding extra oil whether from tea tree oil or from vaseline is a bad idea.

Generally, the treatment for blepharitis is daily warm compresses followed by lid scrubs.

i have never actually heard of using tea tree oil for blepharitis but another rather inexpensive therapy is Vaseline i use it on my eyelids daily and it works great if you don't wear make up on a daily basis you can put a little on your lids during the day but if you do wear make up daily do it at night before you go to bed put plenty on and then just clean it off in the morning. i also found this article below. i found an article online an i put the link for it below.

It would probably burn like hell...I find tea tree oil to be akin to eucalyptus

try lid scrub one to two times a day and hot compresses.
