I'm 15 years old, and I want to start volunteering. Can I do this? Am I old enough? My mom is willing to go in with me, but her time is very limited. What kinds of organizations are good for my age?

Usually volunteer places age limit starts at 15. So you are old enough.
I am volunteering at the hospital my mom is working at.
(But there are limits. Like I am not able to take care of babies and such)

You can go to your local animal shelter. Your mom may have to go with you which would be great, more people to play with the dogs and cats.I have been an un-paid volunteer for 2 years and love it.It has made me decide to be vet tech.Keep your options open, your volunteer service may lead to career or even a job.

Your never to young to volunteer! You can volunteer as a visiter at nearby hosptals, the YMCA has a great youth volunteer program and you can volunteer at your school; helpinh teachers file things or decorate.

These are great places to look for volunteering opportunities no matter what your age. Also, contact your local volunteer center; you can find this via the Points of Light Foundation web site.

I'm 14 and have volunteered at a hospital...There are plenty of places where you can do community service hours even with your city.
