To be spiritual you don't necessarily have to be religious and being religious doesn't not necessarily mean you are spiritual.
Lots of people go to church everyday and then don't respect or act in a kindly way toward others, yet lot's of people are spiritual and don't go to church at all and are wonderful human beings.
In my opinion spirituality is a very private experience within ones self on a path to finding the answers for yourself.
It's about creating a peaceful state of mind and a bonding of your soul with a greater source be it God, the universe Budda ..whatever and often emphasizes the notion of a path, that spirituality is a goal in achieving understanding, or an improved relationship with the universe.
Just my thoughts...

No. The spiritual involves the spirit. The HUMAN soul. Not some non existent god. The holy spirit is nothing more than a spiritual parasite that attaches to the soul. I am a spiritual person. Spiritual Satanist to be precise.

I believe that to classify oneself as spiritual, one need only to understand themselves to be a spiritual being. The concept of God resides in the eye of the beholder, and it seems a pastor (or any other being) claiming to know the absolute truth has not sat long enough in silence.
This is simply my understanding.

Godly spirituality is defined as a mental disposition however because these are the end of days there are many spirits controlling the mental status of many because he knows he has but a short time.

No. For example, Buddhists are very spiritual but don't believe in a god.

I think most people who classify themselves as "spiritual" (whatever the hell that means - sounds like a cop-out) actually do not believe in god.
So your pastor is not correct.

No, the two do not necessarily correlate. Atheists can be spiritual, because it does not involve supernatural religious dogma.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.
Why are people still believing what their pastors tell them. Isn't this the 21st century?
