It's snowing out right now and my 4 yr old pitbull is running back & forth & jumping trying to catch the snow as it's falling. Does anyone else's dog do this?

Ohh yes!!! Mine certainly do! My Saint leaps in the air trying to catch the flakes and my Newfie is usually busy making snow angels on her back :) Aren't dogs a riot in the snow? They get excited like children!

You ain't seen nothing until you see a Pitbull and Shepherd Husky mix on Ice trying to not only catch snow but to keep their balance too.
Let him or her have a blast.
Another funny before I go is Pitbulls love to dangle, he on the same day as the two dogs decided to try the ice- he attacked a snow covered bush in search of his toy and got buried in it, this only excited him more as he went onto his side pushing himself through the snow on the ground then looked up at me and looked like he was laughing.

They are like kids playing in the snow I agree and as I said enjoy it, Laughter is great for stress relief too. So go play outside with him, try catching a few flakes yourself.

My lab puppy does it when it rains, he has only been in the snow once so im sure he will be a happy pup when we go to the snow this year. It sounds adorable, you should video tape your dog catching the snow, I love how dogs can entertain us!

Sometimes my Springer Spaniel will do that or just sit there and stare at the sky and let the snow fall on his face or he opens his mouth and lets it fall on his tongue.

My Lab does that and he allows tries to bite rain drops. But he loves the snow and will try and bury himself in it. Buthe crackes me up when he tries to get the snowflakes.

no, my dogs azre prissy, they won't go out if it is snowing or rainy or even if there is dew on the ground. But my ferret used to love burrowing into the snow and getting himself "lost" (I had a harness and lead on him, so I knew where he was, but he didn't!)
