gingerbread men are my favorite - but for something unique you could make candied orange peels. I just made them three days ago, and they are GREAT!

Hungarian Butterhorns

On a board that has been well sprinkled with confectioners sugar (powdered sugar), rol each ball into 8 or 9 inch circles. cut the circles into about 8 pie shaped pieces.Spoon filling onto the wider end of the pie pieces and roll to form crescent shapes. Bake at 325 degrees preheated oven for 10 minutes.. after cookies are slightly cooled sprinkle with more confectioners sugar.

chocolate chip, gooey butter cake cookies, butter balls, toffee bars, rum balls (yum) dates which you stuff a pecan in and then roll in sugar, sugar cookies, oatmeal, peanut butter, and so on. I oftentimes attempt a sparkling recipe each twelve months. yet, those, so far, have been my favs!

My favorite are Russian Tea Cakes. They are little balls with pecans in them and are rolled in confectioner's sugar.
