Based on a little research, this car will get an average of about 20 miles per gallon, so you can figure about 360 miles.

You do not give enough information to answer the question. What mileage does that vehicle get (there are many years and models of the Ford Taurus). What kind of driving are you doing (city driving gets less mileage than highway)?

How much fuel is in the 18 gallon tank? You would get much further with a full tank of fuel than with 1/4!

Take the average mileage and multiply that by the fuel capacity to find the range of the vehicle (starting with a full tank)

You'd have to see how much MPG you get real-world.

You can get your MPG easily if you stop putting "$10 and $20 in" and actually fill it up all the way everytime. (easier with a credit card.) Note how many gallons you put in, and note how many miles since your last fill-up. There you go!

And from that you can figure your range. Figure it on 15 gallons though not 18. You can never use all the gas in the tank, the car will go to "E" and sputter and die while you still have 1-3 gallons left.
