Do not do anything illegal or try to work around the laws. The Fish and Game Officers are not stupid.
Besides, studies show that hunting over bait and not over bait has virtually the same level of success. Scout the deer before the season and learn where the travel, eat, bed down, etc.
For the British guy, you buy doe urine at the store. I am sure you were just being funny, but maybe they don't sell it over there.

Doe urine is common and doe urine when not taken during estrus will work on buck and doe, estrus urine will work mostly on buck, only when used during the rut, any time estrus urine is used outside of the rut will most likely turn deer in the other direction considering they would find it unsettling to smell that type of smell in such an unusual time of the year. Also try calling. The bleat call can be used all year round and attracts deer in general just not buck or doe. Best thing to do is scout before opening season to get an idea of were deer travel during the day. A good time is to go right after a snow fall when there's a good couple inches and you can easily see there tracks. Good luck.

If the area you are hunting has leafs or pine needles on the ground then simply rake them away. Once the cover is raked back then green shoots grow quickly, deer love em. It isn't baiting, just enhancing what is already there

The regulation varies from state to state yet i think of you will locate that maximum planted "nutrition plots" for Deer are planted and maintained on very own or inner maximum property. till the land vendors have been to be caught it may be challenging to instruct a case in courtroom besides. Corn is outlawed because of the fact no longer purely Deer devour it, yet migratory birds (ducks and Canadian ducks devour it additionally) in view that ducks and ducks are regulated via federal recreation rules and regulations, it won't be able for use. some states even have rules against utilising baits like "dollar Grub" and "dollar Bran" that's grain and molasses mixed collectively, strictly used to bait Deer. different states do no longer regulate it in any respect..... i think of the best theory in the back of regulations are to furnish the Deer a carrying facet forcing Hunters to reap them decrease than organic situations and situations. the belief being that searching Deer evidently of their organic habitat without the earnings of "bait" is greater sportsman like

Do it the hard and ethical way.* Find a natural food source, like a apple tree, and set up near it.* Worked great for me.* It is illegal and against the Game Laws to bait in Pennsylvania.* { NO exceptions and NO 30 days.*}

Now you ol' boys over the pond are going to have to help me with this one.
Doe urine? OK, I can see that this could work as a form of attraction, now, p'raps you can tell me how you get it ? I would have thought that if you could get close enough to a deer to get it to pee in a bucket, you would have no problem getting close enough to shoot It? ;<)

I used to buy a bag of apples & a couple of jugs of apple juice.
take 1 bite out of an apple & drop it, do this with about a dozen apples. also pour some of the apple juice in the area where you dropped the apples.
hard to prove you were baiting the deer

Doe Urine is not considered baiting and would attract a buck during the rut.

its only illegal if you get caught, i dont know where you live but in pa as long as your "bait" is away from your hunting area 30days prior to season it is legal to hunt. i would suggest for next year placing a salt lick at your hunting spot at this years end of season, because even when the salt lick is removed the residue is still in the ground (or better yet) a tree stump.

Is it Illegall all year? If not then you could just wait this hunting season out and bait them all the time coming up to the next years season.
