I'm of mixed Scandinavian and Portuguese descent, and, consequentially i tan extremely well and very fast. I'm going on a Hawaiian cruise for ten days coming up soon here, and i want to know how to ensure i don't get too tan.
The problem is that i hate being too tan - i feel like people look at me and think i fake tan. Furthermore, because my facial features are so scandinavian, i just look bizarre when i'm very well-tanned.
Any suggestions besides wearing long sleeve shirts and hats 24/7? Any good sunblock?

SPF 30 and above waterproof sunscreen. The Bullfrog spray on works great! And so does Coppertone Sports SPF 30. I'm a ghost and I don't get burned if I use either of these products.
I Hawaii last year for a week I got burned on my head because my hair was cut short. I'd rub it in my hair next time.
Doesn't hurt to wear a hat and sunglasses too.

Get spf 50 sunblock and put it on like no tomarow. Try putting as much as will fit on your body. This happened to my cousin. She did that and only got a little paler.

if your skin is dry, choose a high spf sunscreen in opaque form with zinc or tiatnium oxide..
if oily, choose the gel or spray type with mexoryl or avobenzone..
these ingredients will be able to block both UVA and UVB rays of the sun.. because most sunblocks don't...
minimum of spf 30 is recommended.

thats great that you dont want to get tanned tanning gives u cancer and dries out your skin, dont use spray sunblock that is also bad for you, try to get spf 70 (its the highedt i ever found) also get some spf lip balm that way your lips dont get burned because it hurts a whole lot, also dont forget to put sunblock on you face, shoulders and chest, thats wear most people get burned.
