Can't stand by your "OWN" words huh? That's okay , I'm sure there would be a blankie and a FSM stuffed toy near by you can cuddle with during a time out.

I do not know enough of them to be able to list 8 people (as in avatars). But i would participate LOL.

But i do think, that perhaps the 8 people that would make an 'eclectic round table discussion' would be any from the following groups regularly participating in R&S.
May i suggest:
1 Christian
1 Atheiest
1 Jew
1 Buddhist
1 Muslim
1 Mormon
1 Jehovah's Witness, and
1 Scientologist

It would not be a discussion. It would be a war. ROFL.

The Christian would spend most of the time arguing with the Mormon and the Jehovah's Witness over doctrinal errors. The Athiest and the Buddhist would hit if off immediately, but then conflict would arise over the 8-fold noble path when the Atheiest realised that the Buddhist actually did believe in a god. The Muslim and Jew would be consumed in thier own argument. The Christian would then back up the Jew, taking thier side in the argument, which would piss off the Muslim. The Mormon and the Jehovah's Witness would then start in on the Athiest, who would be backing up the Muslim. Then the Christian would defend the Muslim against the Mormon and the Jehovah's Witness pissing off the Jew. The Buddhist would say that all of that arguing was bad karma which would cause the Christain, the Jew, the Muslim, the Mormon and the Jehovah's Witness all to take the same side and start in on the Buddhist. The Athiest would then declare that is precisely WHY he does not belive in any God and has no religious affiliation, in which case the Christian, the Jew, the Muslim, the Mormon, the Jehovah's Witness and the Buddhist would all start in on the Athiest, each trying to win his soul. The Scientologist would not say anything at all as he believes himself to be God, and that he has the powers of the universe and all knowledge in his head, therefore he would just annoy everyone else at the table. LmAo. *tee-hee*. ♥

Don't know everyone, but I would like to be one of the eight with ZC VT, Fish, Jinenglish (for some humorous breaks), Leviathan, Catholic Crusader, Panangel, and Primoa 19. Would really love to be at that table. I have always wanted to have a round table discussion in our community on religious beliefs and doctrines. Love discussing and debating my beliefs, even when I am challenged or can't come back with an answer.

Team A: Linz, Zero Cool, Run James Run, Bettie.

Team B: Fireball, Rachel VT, John D Ayer, Pastor Art.

I have left out some of the ones you may think 'obvious', and not all of them are people I even like (although most I do...). These are the ones I think would create the most entertaining discussion. I'm not picking Pangel because she'd try to calm things down when they got heated... I think it would be better if things were not calmed down. No offence Pangel.

How eclectic?

Want to do a 4 on 4 theist/atheist? Or would you prefere 1 per point of view? And do the abrahamic faiths get one each, or do they share?

can I be there?

Hopefully someone who doesn't have to misquote and spin what other people write into something completely different just to make a weak argument. Oh wait that would mean you can't be there right Desi?

==

Standing proudly behind them Desi. Unfortunately you couldn't simply admit you had no argument and had to misquote me. Weak very weak of you.

But maybe you could be the court jester for the round table. When someone says something you stand on your head and claim they said just the opposite.

The final 3 would need to be a Muslim, a Jew and a Hindu.. Each with well rounded beliefs and the ability to express those beliefs concisely...

I tried to choose people of varying beliefs who seem able to express their beliefs concisely... Then myself of course... cause if I am throwing this shindig I want to participate... :)
