yes it is. In fact a 500 dollar apartment in Atlanta will cost you about 1500.00 in New York City. Almost every road leading into the city is a TOLL ROAD OR TUNNEL. A 9.99 meal here at K.F.C. will cost you 14.99 there. Not to mention the sales tax that others have mentioned already.

Yeah, hon. It's a lot more expensive, for a lot less space. It just depends on whether it's worth it to you. Atlanta is considered the New York of the south by some, but it is still the south. That said, I'm about to move there, and I looked at places in both cities.

it is not too expensive considering the kind of place it is compared to atlanta but comparing it to atlanta dollar for dollar yes it is a lot, lot more expensive but a it is more exciting place to be live and visit, especially compared not only to atlanta but to any other places in the u.s. of a.

Way more expensive. For a really, really tiny apartment it's like 500k.
Plus, typically (not in all cases, like California) the Northeast is more expensive than other parts of the country.
